Terry Butler came by to quote my house, our old roof had failed and it was raining through all the potlights in my kitchen. He explained the roofs condition and gave me options with their advantages and disadvantages. we elected to have the old shingles removed and start from scratch. all flashing replaced, all stack covers and vents changed. They were the cleanest contractors I have seen. My property was tarped 15 feet from my house all the way around. They protected my neighbours windows and A/C units blocking with plywood. I have yet to find any debris that they were ever there. Terry recommended an architectural shingle and we are very happy with our choice as a contractor and the installed products. Delivered as promised.

Terry was quick in returning my call for a quote and made arrangements for the next day to come out and see my roof. He sounded very knowledgable about what my roof needed as we have a problem area at the front. He wasn't our cheapest quote but his willingness to answer questions was what made me feel comfortable with spending the extra. He came out when he said he would and the job was done in a day with my yard being left clean. Terry assured me that if anything goes wrong with the roof he will come back and sort it out and I believe me.

We had researched multiple roofing contracting firms, including reading reviews on this site. Overall Terry's company had the best price and Terry gave us a lot of confidence that he knew what he was doing.

The Homestars reviews were all excellent, and what really caught our eye was the comments on Terry's integrity. People don't just say that kind of thing without some basis in reality. So, after some deliberation, we decided to hire TRC and we were very pleasantly surprised.

Terry sent us to Danforth Roofing to select our shingles. The staff were very helpful. We selected Corning shingles that suited the house but were a bit more expensive. Terry didn't charge us the difference.

The job took a complete day to do, since they did both the house and the garage singles. The work crew was polite and worked diligently. Terry was there to oversee the set up and came back several times during the day.

The yard was well protected with tarps and plywood angled over the plants near the house. At the end of the job they cleaned up completely and left no trace of debris, even passing a large metal magnet to pick up loose roofing nails.
Terry even took me up to the roof during the work to inspect. The roof looks great.

Absolute dream to work with. First of all the man picks up his own calls. There are no fancy answering services telling you that the company is booking x amount of days in the future and that your call will be answered in priority sequence. Terry answers the call himself in a professional yet friendly manner and whenever he may miss your call you can be sure he will call you back himself as soon as possible. No matter how tedious you think your question might be Terry will answer and ensure you are comfortable before moving on. Terry will explain step by step what his job will entail and will make sure what you are quoted is what you pay. His crew was punctual efficient and when the job was done they left the site debris free. A major plus is that Terry was the only constructor that went up on the roof and showed us pictures of what need to be done. He also made sure that whatever areas needed caulking the caulk colour complimented the look of the brick and shingles. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the job is why I will recommend Terry to anyone who needs a roof job.

After obtaining several roofing quotes, Terry's was not just the best price, he was also by far the most knowledgable, and responsive to my inquiries. After another company attempted to up sell the project, Terry's sincerity was appreciated when he answered all of my questions and met all of our needs without costly unnecessary extras. His team removed and replaced our shingles, replaced only the damaged plywood, put down proper ice shield and paper, added new vents and did some extra work on a previously improperly installed range hood vent. He also coordinated work with his insulation guys, at our request, to upgrade the attic blown in insulation while the roof was open. Terry's crew were very efficient, polite, and did an exceptional job of cleaning up ours, and the neighbours properties. Our large project was completed in only one day. We are extremely impressed!

The workers were wonderful, they arrived on time, kept the work site clean and even though they got rained out, they cleaned up before they left and returned the next day to complete the job. Terry gave us a thorough description of job, ice-jam membrane, plastic sheeting under shingles, etc. Price modest. He said job would take 6 hours and it did. Clean-up excellent, deck-furniture replaced precisely. No nails, debris. We are very pleased. John in Scarborough
