Service issue - Window glass replacement

We have had the windows for about 6 years now, and recently noticed odd streaks in a couple that we could not clean off, inside or out. We called Hometech and they let us know that these sealed glass units "failed". I didn't have the original paperwork, but they were able to find the original PO and order the new units in no time. It was cold outside on the day they canme to do the fix, but the installer Alex had the units in and out so fast the house bareley cooled down! Quick, courtious, and very professional. he was an older guy , and looks like he has installed his share of windows over the years. They charged me a small labour fee, but with the level of care and service they showed through the entire process, it was easy to pay. I have recommended them to several neighbors who saw the installer there and asked me what the problem was, and I was happy to tell them if they had a problem, Hometech was a pleasure to deal with and truly stand behind their product.

Windows

This company stands behind everything they make.Had a company install windows with there product, the company went under.Hometech stepped up to the plate and replaced all windows at there cost.I just had to pay labor.Even though we couldn't find a PO number Antonella helped me get satisfied.Where Hunter windows failed home tech made up.I can't say enough about this company I don't think there is another window manufacturer that would have stepped up to the plate like this. Thanks especially Antonella and her manager you guys are real quality employees that back your product

windows replacement

Originally we had our 5 windows replaced in July 2005. In December 2010 I noticed strange streaks in the windows - all except for one. The company that installed the windows referred me to Hometech Windows. After a couple of months' wait the windows were replaced, no problem. At that time we were charged $75.00 labour charge which I thought was reasonable and I paid, no problem. At this point I was quite satisfied with their service. However, in July this year I noticed that one of the windows they replaced two years ago (broken seal) was failing again along with the window that was not replaced originally. I contacted them, spoke to Antonella. She was not as pleasant as first time around, took my information and said she'd get back to me. When I didn't hear from her for about 2 weeks I called back and was told the same thing. So, I waited again. After another couple of weeks I once again called back and was told yet again that they're very busy and she hadn't had time to check into it. When I insisted she said she couldn't even find our records in their system. I provided her over the phone with the name, address, phone number, I even gave her the invoice # of their own invoice to no avail. After I told her that I have all the copies in front of me she asked that I email them to her. I did so right away. Towards the end of August I received a phone call that someone would be in the area and that I should call back to set up an appointment. Needless to say I was pleased! Unfortunately not for long. When I called back Antonella said that the windows can be replaced and that the charge would be $240.00+tax. I was shocked. I don't mind paying for a good service, but I find an increase from $75.00 to $240.00 unreasonable! I even spoke to the owner and he informed me that they changed the way they charge for labour and that's all. I was and still am very upset. And what if the window fails again in the future? I'm very disappointed with the way they're handling this matter and am seriously considering having the windows replaced by another company. I'd rather pay someone whose product I can rely on.

Screen repair

We bought Hometech windows through an installer (Thermo-bilt) and have been very happy with them.

However, one day I set a bowl of fruit in one side of a pair of casement windows (low level ledge) and later discovered it had attracted the attention of a squirrel, ripping a hole in the screen on that side. would not match the adjoining window, so called the installer and left a message.

A few days later, I got a call back from Antonella at Hometech. I confirmed the problem with her, and she said if I would bring the screen in to them at the factory, they would replace it for free and it would take about 10 minutes.

I could not believe it, but decided to go that same day. They did the replacement very quickly and indeed there was no charge, they chalked it up to good customer service.

I'm totally thrilled. The screen is back and no fruit will ever go in that window again.

I was concerned that using different replacement screening on one side .

Sliding Doors

We bought all our windows and doors through Hometech and the back sliders had to be touched up. Working with our Rep Serg and booking the appointment was seemless. Mike was great as well. He called to let us know the approximate time he would arrive so we wouldn't be waiting for 3 hours. He arrived on time, was professional and courtesy and patience with all our questions. Great service!

Window - warranty work

I replaced all of my windows with Hometech in 2006. over the winter a few of them lost their seal. One call to Hometech and two weeks later Alex came to replace them. Alex was fast, clean and efficient. He knew exactly how to get the job done with minimal fuss despite some of the tricky locations of the windows. It's nice to know that Hometech stands behind their products and honours their warranty without question. Thanks!

Finally some response! HomeTech staff were fantastic and know how to treat customers. I appreciate the efficiency and professionalism of Antonella (in the office) and Mike (our installer). Thank you HomeTech I can see out my windows again without streaks and haze!
