We were looking for an architect who was available immediately and who could get the job done in a short period of time. I found Cadaxx on line.....how lucky we were. Always available to talk to. Alex listens to what you want and delivers. Together Alex and Sarah are a great team and I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again.

Alex was available to do a site visit and to discuss what we could do. He was expert at converting my goals into plans that could be used to get a permit. He was familiar with zoning rules and building code requirements, and was able to get us a building permit under a tight deadline.

The day after learning about Alex and his company, he came to our house and gave an estimate for the cost of work. He was courteous and efficient and we were very happy working with him. Whenever we had a question or a change to our plans, he was able to respond to us very quickly. Communicating all of our little details was so easy. I want to thank Alex for all his hard work in putting my napkin vision into professional plans, and for sticking with me through the unexpectedly long permitting process with the City; I feel like I've known Alex for years when it's only been months, and that's just because we've exchanged so many emails!

Getting these renovation plans completed was a real learning experience, and Alex was always patient and agreeable to any changes until the final plan was just the way I wanted. We had interior and exterior renovations on the same plan, then had to divide it into two applications and re-submit to expedite the zoning approval on the interior, while going to Committee on the exterior (which is still pending, so I may be back to change my referral rating, lol). Despite all the extra work that neither of us expected, Alex was very accommodating and reasonable in the additional charges that arose as a necessary consequence from splitting the plans and changes in my design based on City zoning laws - and, most importantly, I never once felt l overpaid.

So, though we had some frustrating times (due to the City, mainly), Alex always came through with prompt attention to my phone calls and emails, and was always willing to adjust draft after draft until I was completely satisfied with the way it all looked. His fees were very fair, and I would recommend him in the future.

I was in need of Building Permit to renovate the kitchen and remove load bearing wall. Alex from Cadaxx Design helped me to understand my needs by providing his expert opinion and explaining the process in "plain English". The permit was delivered on time and my contractor could proceed with the job without a delay.

Make sure you get all on paper, you might get half of the job done. Customer service-none. Told my wife that "she is not important enough to get a call back"
