Deep Clean

Sorry, I had to change my recommendation based on recent events. Please read my latest review below. How a person can drop you and refuse to speak to you (are we children?!) for no reason is beyond me and completely out of my control but I will certainly not encourage other people to go through an awful experience like that. Find yourself a straight up professional who will treat you with the respect you give them.

Well It turns out they are not publishing my new review, it got lost. I'll explain what happened here or it won't make much sense........

......."I was very happy with Jacob and his team and gave them 10 stars before. I used them for a deep clean then on to biweekly cleans with one lady. There were some glitches along the way, mostly scheduling; one day my lady didn't show up at all. It left me in a bind. I waited and phoned Gay, nothing, finally phoned Jacob, excuses were made and it was arranged my lady came another time. Nonetheless I asked him not to be hard on her. We had I thought a good relationship. I should tell you I am on disability with a bad back and knees and further was in a car accident in Aug. After that I had to cancel twice with 24 hours notice due to being in too much pain.

I tried numerous times over two weeks to contact Gay or Jacob to confirm my next appt. No response. It seems he had dropped me as a client (a very friendly, loyal client who has touted his services to many people) because I had to cancel twice after a car accident..And he failed to give me the courtesy or professionalism to contact me. I am stunned. I don't need people who treat me like that, do you?"............

I have no interest in carrying on this back and forth but I will NOT accept someone telling outright UNTRUTHS about me in order to try to salvage their reputation. I have never ever ''not answered the door to a cleaner'' here. And I phoned and emailed Gay 5 times and phoned you as well as emailed you Jacob when she don't reply trying to set up an appt.. If you didn't receive any of those 7 messages in over a month then that's a problem within your business!!!! Attacking and questioning my character and publishing parts of my private emails is the lowest form of response and not acceptable to me. I have always treated you and your cleaners with the utmost respect and kindness and expect the same in return.

I wish you had responded like other business owners may have and just apologized. In fact I wish you had initially just responded at all! You are uncomfortable I suppose to be outed for treating a customer this way and have concocted a ridiculous story that for over a month neither you nor Gay received any of seven different messages from me. So I'm done with this. Good luck to you.

Hey Barb,

I am sincerely sorry that you feel this way. Your review reads like you had a car accident and we stopped servicing you - which is not true and doesn't sit right with me and so I wanted to clear the air. The whole reason you hired us to do the deep cleaning was because of your health and mobility issues and we came and did an outstanding job for you. I even spent time on a ladder installing a filter in your ceiling at no cost. We really genuinely enjoyed cleaning for you and helping you out when you most needed it. I do appreciate that you mentioned in your edited review that not only did we receive a 10/10 review originally but that you were very happy with the service. I am honestly shocked that you changed your opinion of me and my hardworking team so quickly!

I just saw your Sept 26th email JUST now (in which you stated that you had to cancel and postpone the cleaning appointment we setup for the new cleaner!) and asking for a new date. My apologies for not seeing it before! It somehow got past me. You said that I failed to give you courtesy or professionalism but I don't believe accidentally missing an email counts.

I am available to my clients 24/7 via text but never received any communication from you about all this and I find that very frustrating. I am surprised that you never called or texted me to let me know that you were unhappy with scheduling issues and we could have discussed this privately instead of you attacking my character saying that I am unpressional and showed you no respect. You are certainly entitled to your opinion but I have to defend myself here and I feel as though we have been more then professional and accommodating and flexible.

To be fair, there were numerous occasions where you canceled on us, one time when the cleaners arrived but you never answered the door and we tried our best to be as flexible as possible and reschedule. Unfortunately both cleaners you had weren't willing to continue service with you due to too many cancelations. If you take a look in our history of emails and correspondances you will find May 14th you emailed to cancel for May 16th. An email regarding a canceltion for June on the 15th asking to reschedule to July 5th. An email on June 29 canceling the July 5th appointment. A June 29th email you said "I PROMISE I want a regular cleaner (and need one!). Making it happen is proving to be difficult. Sorry about all this Jacob. Please explain to Gay and Rowena in case gay thinks I’m avoiding her or something!!" And this was all before the car accident.

Afterwards, a Sept 20th appointment was canceled on Sept 19th. On the most recent email Sept 26th (which I just saw now) you canceled because you were sick (understandably as we know you have been going through a lot lately). It has been very difficult for me to keep cleaners happy to continue servicing you when they lose days of work nearly every single month and with not enough notice to find another work. In any case if your review is indicative of how you truly feel I have to apologize. I had a new cleaner lined up for you but last we left it you canceled the appointment and we hadn't been in touch since. We want to wish you a speedy recovery health wise and hope that you get well soon.

******If Gay didnt respond to you so many times why did you not reach out to me and let me know? I put you in touch directly with her for a reason - which was to ensure you had direct communication with your cleaner to make choosing dates easier! I wasn't cc'd on any of your corresponances with her so how would I know if you contacted her once or ten times without response? If you couldnt reach her - why wouldnt you tell me you where having a problem? I havn't published our emails, only a quote from one of them - and potential clients that have any doubts are free to connect with me and will be given unrestricted access to read through my emails and decide for themselves whether or not I acted professionally, reasonably and if there are any "UNTRUTHS" being told here. Funny you didn't say LIE because you know I am not lying and I don't feel the need to call and apologize to you anymore because you changed a 10/10 review to one calling me unprofessional and disprectful and childish without contacting me directly to tell me you where having a problem first! Imagine my surprise! I am glad you had a chance to vent your frustrations here even though it attacked my character, business and my reputation. I have been offering cleaning services for nearly a decade now and still have clients with me from the beginning. I am glad your done - I would like to end this ridiculous banter and move on and also wish you the best of luck.

Deep Cleaning of Sister-in-laws condo

Jacob was extremely easy to communicate with and paid close attention to our needs for this job. They arrived promptly with a team of three cleaners and listened attentively to what needed to be done. The cleaning job was the result of many years of neglect partly due to a visual handicap and a very disreputable cleaning lady. The condo had been sprayed for a cockroach problem so they set to work and made it feel brand new. The job when completed exceeded my expectations and I would definitely consider using them in the future. I have passed their card on to a friend already and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Regular house cleaning

Very late review. I used this cleaning service in 2015-2016. At first, Jacob & team were great. Quick responses to txt msg scheduling/inquiries/feedback but after ~8mths the service quality steadily decreased. Jacob's responses to txt msgs slowed to a crawl and became disjointed/confused. Despite booking my cleaning schedule months in advance, they kept making mistakes and losing my cleaning dates due to 'system problems.' After repeated attempts to contact him to re-confirm my cleaning schedule (including screen shots of text message conversations) he stopped replying completely. I was finally contacted by one of his partners who said Jacob was really busy with his snow cleaning service and apologizing for the lack of response. The Home Cleaning Team told me they needed 6hrs to clean my very small 3bdrm semi @$25/hr = $170 (incl tax) but after finally giving up on them in frustration, I found another great company (Anna's Housekeeping) that charges me slightly less ($24/hr incl tax) and can get my house sparkling in only 4hrs (total cost $96 compared to the $170 charged by Jacob). I'd recommend The Home Cleaning Team for one-off cleaning jobs but definitely NOT for a regular, long term cleaning contract.

C. I am glad you found a new company that meets your needs. Originally, you had us work for you in 2015 to 2016 and even left us a glowing 9/10 review (which you withdrew - in order to write this one!) You claimed that each cleaner we sent was better then the last! You also mentioned that we serviced you for approximate 8 months which is true. We discontinued service to you nearly a year ago and are very surprised to be reading this review from you. Technically, reviews are only supposed to be given on jobs completed so that homestars.com can ensure their utmost accuracy. In your case, a year later you found another company and decided to leave us this review and withdraw your original one. It is a shame that we couldn't continue to service you, but from all our previous correspondence you were very happy with our service. It was only when we dropped you as a client that I presume these feelings came up. We wish you would have spoken to us sooner regarding our booking systems and price if they were a concern to you. Sometimes the cleaner and client are not a match for a long term arrangement and I tried with three different cleaners but none of them wished to continue with you. That says a lot. Home Cleaning

I found Jacob to be very responsive and his team was punctual. The ladies were lovely and worked hard all day with great attention to detail. They did a very deep clean which was long overdue. They moved furniture and got in behind everything. The house is spotless and I'm very pleased with the service. I would highly recommend this company.

This is the only cleaning service I've used that I'm completely happy with. Very thorough!

Over the years I've had many cleaning services - but over time the quality of work deteriorated. That has not been my experience with the home cleaning team. I'm completely satisfied. Every two weeks, our home gets thoroughly cleaned - taking a lot of pressure off of our family. I think they are terrific!

Amazing Service

Apartment, foyer and stairwell cleaning

Found Jacob on Homestars after reading the excellent reviews and true to his word, his team did an excellent job after a tenant moved out. We also asked him to clean the foyer, stairs and hallways to the basement apartment. We were very pleased and he did his best to work around our crazy schedules. Thank you so much!

Condo cleaning

I found out about Jacob and his team about a year ago and was very pleased with the work his team did for me the first time. Jacob and the team of ladies were extremely professional. They arrived on time and spent almost the whole day cleaning my condo. Jacob even sent another lady to help out without charging me for the additional help!
About two weeks ago, I needed my condo to be cleaned urgently. I called Jacob and he was able to get a team down to my place within less than 24 hours. The ladies worked extremely hard to clean my condo and my balcony and left the space spotless. I am very pleased with the team's work and will definitely be using their services in the future.
