Gutter Doctor

My new tenants backed a cube van into my eaves trough, OOPS! I called the Gutter Doctor, and got a quote the next day. Jason arrived when he was scheduled and started work right away. Great job, great service, I highly recommend the Gutter Doctor!!

I bought an investment property in the spring. When it started raining, we noticed that the gutters leaked. Not a little - they leaked a LOT, and there was not water coming down the down spouts. I called 3 companies to requests quotes. The Gutter Doctor responded quickly and kept communication going. Todd was able check out the job, and I fully anticipated that I was going to have to replace all the eaves. He said they just needed cleaning, new down spouts, and a small section replaced. He completed the job within a week and the eaves look GREAT!

Last year I was unable to get anyone to give me an estimate for the work required and that included this company. This year however I received a prompt call to arrange an inspection and was more than a little surprised to see Brian up on a ladder cleaning my gutters. He said he was doing an inspection and had to remove some debris while he was up there, no charge!
He quoted the repairs required and suggested that no cleaning was necessary given the scarcity of debris present. We made an appointment for the work.
He arrived as expected to complete the work and although it took him longer than he expected he adhered to the quoted cost for work.

We finally had had enough of the leaky gutters on our 46 year old house so we called Gutter Doctor. James gave us a quote we considered reasonable so we asked them to go ahead with the job.
Jason dropped by with colour samples and the next day he came and completed the installation. There is a 5 year warranty. Jason was very thorough so we don't expect we will be calling him back unless we have another job.

We had Jason here the past three days to replace all of the eavestroughs, downspouts, soffit and fascia on our home. We live in a rather large attached home and there was a need to disconnect the eavestroughs between both homes. James provided a great quote and when Jason arrived, he was punctual, friendly and went through the work with us before beginning. In addition, we had an issue with a neighbour concerning the placement of where we (on our property) wanted the down-spout located. Jason had a great deal of patience dealing with the situation and helped to provide a solution that worked. It can be difficult to know what company to go with regarding home renovations but we were very pleased with Gutter Doctor and both Jason and James. Gutter Doctor was one of two companies that quoted us on the job we needed done and they were way less expensive than what the second company had quoted. They were professional, had good suggestions about what did (and also didn't) need to be done (which we appreciated). We would recommend this company to others. Thank you for the great job!

Jason was out on a Friday to survey the wind damage to facia previously installed in 2015. He had to pick up matching facia and expected to have repair completed by Wednesday. He was able to get to us sooner and job was completed on Tuesday. Jason was extremely personable but most important he communicated everything he was doing. I will definitely request his services if needed in the future.

I called GD after I saw a poster for them. They came and quoted quite fairly; including giving me various options to fix my downspouts, gutters, aged soffit and fascia. They took the time to explain to me how everything was currently not functiing properly and how any of the options I chose were going to help my main issue (the soffit and fascia mainly.
When the gentleman came to fix everything (I think his name was Jay), he was polit and honest about all parts of the process of fixing everything. He finished my house the same day and was fine with me mailing my cheque to the office once I found my cheque book. He maintained a clean workspace the whole time! Very nice. I would highly recommend GD to anyone. I am happy with the 5 year guarantee and appropricoate how easy it is to contact this buisness. 10/10

My experience with the gutter doctor was very negative. I left several messages to get some work done and was referred to use them by a different company. Once I was finally contacted to have some gutter work done, they sent a rep to my house who was under qualifies to do all the work and could only do work on the main level of the house. This person injured themselves as well.

After one and a half weeks, I called them to ask when the rest of the work would be completed. They sent another representative out to complete the job. When calling the office for the updated quote, they could not find it, and had difficulty knowing what work was to be done which clearly proves, no business organization, or filing system in place, completely inefficient and unprofessional.

After the rep completed the job, I immediately paid using PayPal and they charged me an additional 3% fee for the transaction. I didn't know but while completing the job, the rep damaged my neighbors chain link fence with their ladder and didn't report it. My neighbor came to my door shortly after to tell me to get the contractor back to fix his fence. I was shocked Gutter Doctor would leave with out reporting this and taking full responsibility.

I called numerous times and left messages for the owner and at the other phone numbers that were available. No one would call me back or respond to this problem. I finally received a call the next morning fro the rep that perform the work and came to look at the damage. He started denying having done the damage since his ladder couldn't have done the damage. The damage was in the exact location he placed the ladder that he asked my neighbor for permission to place it there.

There is a lack of taking responsibility for the damage, by the rep and the owner and it is disgusting. I had made a huge error in paying using PayPal and visa instead of writing a cheque. Since I could have put a hold on the cheque immediately. However, I have sent a request for full reimbursement of the funds I paid by both PayPal and visa since I will not pay this company until this problem has been rectified to satisfaction of my neighbor.

I would never use this company for anything since they have no sense of responsibility, only care about payment, are unprofessional, lack staff that are qualified and have no real business organization for controlling work orders, billing or anything to do with logistics. Absolutely awful.
These people and the owner avoid all calls related to the damages and are only avoiding issues instead of actually standing up and taking full responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction, since I feel strongly it doesn't mean anything to them at all based on their actions.

UPDATE

I paid the invoice via PayPal within an hour of the work being completed. I actually faxed all the documentation and proof of payment to The Gutter Doctor owner, and wrote an explanatory note so there was no confusion in the billing. Again, the owner now not telling the truth in his response saying I didn't pay when I paid promptly and have the paper work to prove it.

Additionally in the Gutter Doctor response, he did not tell the truth, denying again, that the fence was not damaged by his company when the ladder placement was in the exact spot and I am in my back yard everyday.

Only after writing this review, I received a response from the owner and three phone calls at 9:30 pm at night asking for a change of my review.

The Gutter Doctor did come to the area and contacted the neighbor who owns the fence in order to repair it. I believe the neighbor is satisfied with the repaired fence.

I will stop proceeds for stopping PayPal and visa payments.

I had terrible gutters in the past few years because of some poor maintenance on the part of the prior homeowners. When the snow melted, my whole pathway would be treacherous with first water, then ice when it all froze again. I finally called these guys and they repaired the whole side of my house (of gutters), so now I can safely walk to my car in the morning (and the mailman doesn't sue!)

This company installed gutters on our raised deck. They had some issues with the angles but worked really hard at getting it right. The only complaint I have is that when I called I frequently got an answering machine and they generally don't call back but just show up to do the work. I will use this company again and would recommend them to my family and friends.
