The work assessment flagged issues that we were already aware of - as well as other issues that surprised us. Recommendations and suggestions were given. Our home needed a complete rewiring of the older section, updating lighting fixtures, adding proper lighting in the garage, the list goes on.
What seemed to be a big deal was all in a day's work for the team; in just one day, they cleaned up the very messy basement wiring and added proper lighting as a 'warmup exercise' as they made their way upstairs. Although they had to make several holes in the walls and ceilings to fish new wiring through in the upstairs rooms and bedrooms, they were careful about leaving wallpapered ceilings and walls intact by drilling holes in a closet instead. Not only that, but there was hardly a speck of dust anywhere to be seen after they cleaned up. Amazing. It's too bad that they don't have a (sub-)contractor to patch the holes after a major project like this.
The staff was incredibly understanding: every issue that seemed complicated was met with 'we can do that', or 'done', or 'we can work around that'. Even making payments was easy.
We hadn't received our new lighting fixtures when the crew was on site, but that wasn't a problem: they'll be back in a few weeks to finish the job.
Rewiring a home is a major project, and we were confident right from the start that Ring Electric was going to do a good job. They did an excellent job, and it was a pleasure to work with everyone. Highly recommended.

After the big May storm left us with no power for several days, I wanted a complete stand alone back up generator fed panel.
The panel fed my Natural Gas furnace and hot water tank and had feeds for fridges and freezers.
This set up was assisted by the great people at Ring Electric.
Fully knowledgeable, and focused on meeting my needs.
I have used them several times and refuse to use anyone else.

From the outset, Ring Electric showed they were the best electricians that I've dealt with (4 others in the past). Their booking and quoting system is very efficient and Bryan is very knowledgeable and prompt with the site visit and quotes.

The crews worked very well together (I believe there was an apprentice or two on site as well). They ensured the least amount of intrusion/ damage / exploratory damage was done while adding fixtures and pot lights to my 60s bungalow.

They cleaned up far better than any other contractor I've had in my house. And the dialogue between them was very professional, light hearted and instructional (to the younger crew members) in nature as well (I'm a teacher and it's good to see knowledge in the trades being passed on).

I'd definitely recommend Ring Electric to anyone again and we will be using them in the future for our electrical needs!

UPDATE: A switch needed attention a few months later. Bryan came the next day and fixed it. Great follow-up service too!

I hired Ring Electric to take down some existing fixtures, and to move them to a new location. They were then to install a new fixture, replace some defective pot lights, and install a dimmer. The workers were punctual, friendly, efficient and did everything I requested to my satisfaction. They followed protocols, cleaned up after themselves, and did not leave me any reason to call them back. The price I was quoted was spot on, no surprises or "extra charges". I would highly recommend these people if you want a job done with no residual headache.

We needed a ceiling chandelier installed in an open, curved 2nd floor stairway and found it so difficult to find a reliable electrician, and Ring Electric came to the rescue. I called them on Monday and they came the very next day on Tuesday to do the installation. The technicians were friendly, quick, clean, worked safely, followed all Covid protocols, and the workmanship was awesome. Our chandelier was a previously loved unit from my sister and I wasn't sure we had all the parts but the technicians were able to verify it and provide any small missing hardware. The installation is solid, looks great, and works perfectly. The whole process was easy, fast, and convenient. We couldn't ask for anything more. After receiving an assessment of the state of our panel during a review in October 2021 in advance of some work we requested, we agreed to an estimate for panel replacement in December. The work was scheduled and then completed in early January 2022. Again the team provided a clear explanation of the work and also reviewed when completed.

Team members were polite, professional and interested in our feedback.

After working with Ring last August to solve a lighting problem in our kitchen, we called the company for more extensive work.

We needed some electrical work done throughout our home to accommodate a new garage door opener as well as to address lighting and ventilation in the main bathroom, and various other repairs and small upgrades.

We received a quote within a day of Bryan V's site visit and the work was scheduled within the following two weeks.

The work was completed by a team led by Derek in about 5 hours, in a professional manner while seeking our thoughts and feedback throughout. The new light fixture we had planned to have installed in the bathroom could not be installed because of the structure of our house. Instead the team suggested and installed alternative lighting solutions that are better than what we had selected.

I wanted to replace our aged electric panel and upgrade from 100amp service to 200 amps at the same time. I had contacted several other electricians who would not take the job because of the work involved in securing Hydro permits and digging a trench from the street to the house.
Ring Electric was not afraid to take on this big job, they worked with me over several months to ensure that Hydro Ottawa upgraded the infrastructure coming to the pole on our street and to help me find another company to dig a trench that would pass inspection. I truly appreciated the communication throughout this project so that I always knew what stage we were at.
When the connection date came, the two electricians from Ring worked quickly and efficiently. They were friendly but wore masks and kept their distance at all times so my family and I felt safe having them in our home. They cleaned up everything so there was no mess to deal with after they left. I am very pleased with the work and would absolutely recommend them to friends and family.
