Stormrider Roof Repairs

Got a leak on my chimney and gas air vent. Malcolm fixed it, and seems excellent now. What I really enjoyed about the process is Malcolm's responsiveness to text messages and calls, his promptness, and speedy repair time.

Malcolm from Stormrider came to assess the problem (that had been tarped temporarily by another roofing company) within a few days and discussed the repair proposal with me in detail. He was throughout patient with my questions to understand the situation and answered many other questions I had about roofing in general. His quote for the work was accurate and very fair compared to pricing from other roofing companies.

In diagnosing the source of the leak, Malcolm recognized an improper venting situation where the bathroom exhaust vent was connected to the plumbing stack through the roof and aside from this roof penetration being the source of the leak, we were intermittently having the smell of sewer gas into the room due to this arrangement. Malcolm created a new vent for the bathroom exhaust and installed the correct vent and matched in some new asphalt shingles to the existing roof in a tidy manner. in the several rainy months since there has been no evidence of water leaking.

Malcolm is great from Stormriders, he gave me the best cost effective solution for my roof. My roof on my house that I am currently renting had a leaking problem in 3-4 different areas. Malcolm suggested that I put a tarp over it since the house is going to be demolished by the landlord within a year. I needed chimney pots installed, and Malcolm did the job in one day. He knew what was required - power washing, applying SAB weld primer, new cement and sloped secure mortar. He was very polite, gave me an accurate estimate, and completed the job in one day. I would recommend him for any roofing repairs. He has a lot of experience, and does a good job. He also let me know the condition of my roof, and how much more life before I needed to replace it.
