It started with a leaky drainpipe in the basement ceiling and ended with a life-changing renovation. Bevan was referred to us through our neighbourhood Facebook page, was the first to respond to our post and the first to quote on the project. We chose him because he was direct, thorough and patient in helping us define our vision for the project, explaining the process and the projected costs and being available for any questions.

Bevan and his team managed a complete overhaul of our basement during the pandemic, while we lived and worked upstairs 24/7. They were punctual, responsible, responsive, safe and completely professional. They took time to engage us in defining what we wanted down to the smallest detail, and did all of this on budget.

Bevan was masterful at keeping communications going well between homeowners, the crew, tradespeople and suppliers. He handled all of our questions effectively and with good humour and patience, which we appreciated a lot since this was our first reno project.

Bevan and his crew always went the extra mile to make us really happy instead of just satisfied. There were times when we stood in amazement at their artistry. Our basement was a complete disaster before Kangro came along and now it is a true sanctuary.

Would highly recommend and will be calling Kangro for future renovations and improvements.

We hired Bevan and his team to build a mini nursery within our master bedroom (and then added in a few extras like ceiling repair and bathroom repaint because we were already impressed!). Bevan met with us right away to work out a plan that would suit our needs and budget and the team got started quickly. Bevan was amazing to work with; very professional and took the time to really explain the process and figure out our interests. We were also really impressed with how present he remained for the duration of the project to ensure everything ran smoothly. Everyone who worked on the project was also fabulous. Special thanks to Brett, Seamus, Craig and Nick for their hard work. The room has some pretty tricky ceilings to work with and the team thought of every detail to make it special including a cool custom door (attaching a before photo and many after photos of the work). After having some bad experiences with contractors in the past, this experience provided us so much more peace-of-mind. Wouldn't hesitate to hire Kangro again! They will be our go-to team for sure.

We were on the search for a company to take on fairly significant structural work - turning the main floor of our 100+ year old home in the Beach into open concept. The scope was quite extensive involving steel beams/posts, LVLs, new ceiling joists, a new footing in our basement and window lintels.

We selected Bevan to take on the work as he was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and a great communicator from the get-go. As it turns out, his team was amazing too... every single of one of them. They knew our timeline was tight and pushed through our scope as planned, helping us collaboratively problem solve as challenges came up. Safety and cleanliness were also always top of mind for them, which we appreciated as that is a rare find.

Thank you for the excellent work! The bathroom is stunning. Love the new cupboard doors and hardware. The quartz countertop is gorgeous. The new vanity is lovely and practical with tons of storage space. The kitchen has a fresh new look in white with new cupboard doors. Very happy with all of the workers who assisted with this job. Everyone was tidy, respectful and arrived on time. The jobs were organized to suit my schedule with minimal interruption in my home. Front hall closet also has new doors that were done to perfection. Bevan and his team were a pleasure to work with. This is our second time hiring Bevan to help us with a renovation project, and we won't hesitate to contact him again if we have any projects in the future. Bevan and his team worked with us to renovate our home before we moved in. They worked through the challenges of renovating an older home and were able to give the place a much needed update. He had lots of creative solutions to make our small space feel big and beautiful. He was readily available by phone or email and kept us updated throughout the whole process with progress photos. He gave our kitchen a much needed face lift, updated all flooring, built a new powder room, and created a beautiful master bedroom.

Our basement was old and not very inviting. We had it all redone ( walls, floors, electric, plumbing, insulation) and created a bedroom for our daughter. It looks great and she loves it. Bevan and his crew were very professional and transparent. They were polite and respectful.
