Mersey Heating And Air Conditioning

John performed our annual A/C service with report yesterday. An issue was found with a high, supply air temperature. The high reading was corrected by sensing at a different location in the duct work. All is well. John did a great job, we will have him back next year.

We have been a Mersey client for many years for both furnace and AC. Our 23 year old Lennox AC unit finally gave up two days ago and within 24 hours we had a new Lennox 3.5 ton, purchased from and installed by Mersey Technicians. We followed the advice of their Home Comfort Advisor Chris and the following day, Adam and Alex ( The "A" Team in our minds) were on site for 41/2 hours completing a fantastic job and giving us a cool house again. This company and their associates are courteous, knowledgeable and highly professional and fully understand service, customer loyalty and the importance of repeat business.

So I put in a request via HomeStars for service for my ductless AC. Which has not been working properly. They were quick at picking up the job and offer a rapid appointment. Two guys showed up on time and were nice. But this is where the positive vibes stop.
I had told them the unit was not cooling as it used to and that it would need coolant. The guys that showed up and charged 170$ told me what I knew that a leak search was needed and cooling charge was needed. And then we cant do that today, you need to book another appointment and charge another 500 to check for leaks This was the reason I hired the company! So I wasted a day, 170$ and they fixed nothing. Completely useless. I would not recommend this company.

The technician was very courteous and efficient. He was also very punctual as he arrived as per schedule and seemed trustworthy. I have been very satisfied with Mersey.

I have used Mersey for many years and find their technicians very thorough and take the time to explain their results. This year, the service technician carried out the maintenance and I was very happy with the results.

Sam dealt with an issue with my nest thermostat not starting the blower motor. He was able to fix the issue and suggest possible solutions to look into for the future. Best service and always reliable.

Both Erik and Chris performed duct cleaning in our home. They were on time, and very professional and courteous. They were careful with the equipment and completedi the job with little mess.

Asked for a quote for a new tankless water heater. So they call me an book an appointment for 4PM today on a Saturday. So I waited from 3:45 in case they come earlier... but no... at 5:10 I called them and after 10 minutes waiting on the line I am told that no-one will come and most likely they will call me... guess what... it is 6:40 right now and no-one called...

I would give them 0 points if I could... this is not how business is done in Canada in 2023!

UPDATE: I was called around 8 PM by one of the company employees and discussed what happened. I will increase as promised to him my review with 1 star as I do know how valuable are these reviews but my time is valuable too especially on a Sat during the long weekend. I will not remove the review as this is the first experience with them and I cannot hide that.
