Carpentry At Its Best

Niall and his team were punctual and courteous and the excellent work didn't start there. He had great suggestions to maximize the outcome within a budget and did a fantastic job customizing and creating a finished product when it came to our fireplace. He also left our home (minus the great new additions!) exactly as he'd found it and not with a bunch of mess left behind. Highly recommended!

My husband and I were very impressed with Niall and the other carpenter that worked with him. Niall is punctual and knows his work as the suggestions he made were exactly what we were looking for. We are very pleased with the crown moulding that was added to the main floor of our house. We will definitly be contacting Niall again for additional projects. Thanks again!

I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to Nial and his entire team for the great work on my father-in-laws house. It was very obvious that these guys know what they are doing. Nial went out of his way to provide us his design ideas on what could be done with this old house. He knew exactly what we needed, help us select the new baseboards, trim and crown molding. Gave us a budget price and stayed with in it.

We also had him build a new deck in the back that was not originally part of our plans.

I would definitely use his services again and highly recommend Nial for this type of work.

Niall just finished constructing built-ins on either side of our fireplace. We got 3 quotes: one lower, one higher (still, Niall's quote was very reasonable). We went with Niall because he understood what we wanted, wasn't daunted by some tricky aspects (moving some wiring to accomodate our tv and then building aorund the tv) and seemed like he would be easy to deal with. He was.

He was dilligent in staying in touch, arrived on time, finished the project in a very timely manner and stayed within his quoted budget. I'm not a builder but have had enough experience doing things around the house and hiring tradespeople to know when a job has been done well. Niall and his partner, Shane, did a great job. They've added value to our living room and to our house. There's a reason he's getting high reviews on this site. Great at his trade, honest, dilligent and communicative. Highly recommended.

Niall was a pleasure to work with. He communicated and showed up on time. He understood the project - did the job in the time frame he said and understood our needs. He built a corner bench in our very small kitchen. He did a good job and took time to clean up. I would definitely use his skills again!

Niall McGoldrick and his associate, in two evenings, added posts to my deck, installed a hatch to my porch and added solid bottoms to four drawers in my study. The work was professional, fast and friendly.

A huge effort was made by Niall and his team and we now have a new built-in two-rung closet with custom shelving, custom baseboards, a new porch deck and a new favourite carpenter.

We hired Niall to finish our basement, including building a large number of custom shelves. Niall and his crew did a great job from initial framing to installing the baseboards. He was very flexible in accomodating our schedule and offered great suggestions that saved us lots of money without compromising the end result. For example, we were particularly pleased with Niall's suggestion that he could simply modify solid wood stock doors instead of spending thousands on custom built doors. Great work at a great value.
