Stay Away from 4md Mechanical!!!

This company charged me for parts to fix my Viking BBQ, came and next finished the installation, never came back or returned repeated emails and calls.

you called in to order parts for your viking bbq that had rusted and decayed 7/15/20 we sent a quote on parts you requested and were advised parts were not in stock and without seeing unit we are going on what you advised. 7/22/20 you gave auth to order parts,parts were ordered.11/11/20 tech showed up to install parts to discover more parts were required, parts you ordered and paid for were left with you.
new quote was sent 11/18/20. you never approved autherization therfore parts were never ordered.you were charged for parts that you requested service call and labour for tech to attend are outstanding
STAY AWAY FORM THIS CUSTOMER HE DOES NOT WANT TO PAY FOR SERVICE TO INPECT AND FIND WHAT IS NEEDED, HE EXPECTS US TO REPAIR UNIT ON HIS DIAGNOIS AND LABOUR EXTA PARTS AT OUR EXSPENSE FOR HIS MISS DIAGNOIS AT OUR COST?

Stove Repair Under Warranty - 2 months and Nothing

Our stove stopped working one night in October 2021 and gave us an error code. We put in a service call with the extended warranty company who dispatched the call to this company. It took a couple of weeks for them to come out but they agreed to bring the parts relating to the error code sight unseen as that was the most likely culprit. They replaced the parts only for the error code to return immediately after the power was turned back on. The tech spent some time on the phone with his superior who said they will be reordering the parts thinking they’re defective. It’s been over a month now and they refuse to return our calls. We’ve been without a working stove for almost 2 months now and we’re no closer to a working stove than we were when it first died.

you have an extened warranty, the parts are on factory back order this means the manufacture is out of stock. we place orders with one of the 2 autherized partsdistributors they then place order with manufacture when parts are on factory back order it means the manufacture has to hire a vendor to produce more parts,when they place the order the vendor produces the parts ships to manufacturer, then manufacture ships to parts distributors who then ship to us, parts distributors can not provide eta to us for factory back order parts, since covid we have had wait times from 3 weeks to 8 months for parts there is nothing we can do on our end as it is a manufacture supply issue
you have been advised that the part is on factory back order and we will contact you when parts are received
we are not going to call back every few days to advise the part is still on order. For the last 1 1/2 years there has been supply issues due to covid
parts from China appear to take the longest

Frig repair

2 problems with our Frig. Ian came out and resolved both issue and even worked on a third issue I wasn’t totally concerned about. Very knowledgeable, personable, professional. Cost of the service was very reasonable.

4MD Took care of dishwasher under warranty superbly

We had a Maytag Dishwasher under warranty from Home Depot that just stopped working. Ian came out and had the problem diagnosed -- wrong connectors -- and fixed within 20 minutes total. No cost. We will certainly consider this company if other not under warranty appliances have problems.

Miele and above

Absolutely brilliant. I live way out in the country and they came on time as scheduled..Ian and his partner diagnosed and solved my issue with my appliance and then took the time to check my other appliances to make sure all is well..I call that blanket coverage..over and above ..I will only use this service from now on because I trust them..thank you 4 MD and thank you Heather for being so professional and wonderful to talk to..

Miele steam oven

Require a Miele steam oven to be repaired before the closing day, Heather is able arrange to get the part and the technician to come to my house within couple of days. Quick and excellent customer service!! I saw reviews of others complaining about the price. There is no free lunch in this world. How can you expect a technician come to your place with no charge? There is always gas price and diagnostic fee. People should be fair and more reasonable.

Ice maker on Decor fridge

I waited 2 months for Dacia follow up with my ice marker.

After calling and connecting with 4 MD I was out on a wait again for 2 weeks. Which I was understanding about. However when service tech arrived he advised me he could not fix as I need to turn the freezer off and he would return. Being confused my husband and I tried to understand how to actually turn the freezer off but we’re misunderstanding the instruction of turn off the entire fridge and let stand for 24 hours. Upon return the ice maker could not be repaired. We have not heard from them since. I left a message every day this week and yesterday expressed my disappointment in not receiving a call back. Will you return or will just continue to ghost me?!

your warranty call was received from dacor 8/18/20, 8/19/20 parts were ordered , parts received 9/7/20 you were contacted and shedualed 9/9/20, 9/9/20 tech phoned with eta and asked if unit was defrosted you advised it was tech attened 9/9/20 to find unit not defrosted advised unit has to be turned off 24 hrs with doors open to defrost in order to replace parts and reseal ice box
call was shedualed back on 9/14/20 tech called in am again you confirmed unit defrosted tech arrived to find unit had not been defrosted
call ws shedualed back on for 10/5/20 tech arrived unit was defrosted repair was completed
so as far as the delays they were caused by you. we should have charged you for 2 extra trips out where you advised the appliance was defrosted but we did not

Excellent service

(paid under service agreement). Fridge was not making ice or dispensing water. We had a similar problem last year -- got HORRIBLE services from a different company so were expecting the worst. First appointment was scheduled quickly. Repairman called morning of arrival and ACTUALLY arrived when he said he would and left well before the allotted time. One problem immediately solved; second problem needed a part. Plus he noticed another issue which he also fixed then and there. Second appointment took longer -- got a communication from company explaining delay in locating part. When second appointment was scheduled, again repairman called and arrived when he said he would. Love the customer service plus we have a working fridge.

BEWARE - 4MD Mechanical Sells Overpriced Water Filters!!!!!

I was sold a $60 Home Depot water filter for over $200 by 4MD Mechanical (see photo).

This will apply to water filters for Viking, Maytag, AMANA, JENN-AIR and KitchenAid.

4MD Mechanical will claim that they are not allowed to install non-Viking parts in a Viking fridge (my fridge), although they did. Viking is not taking any responsibility.

They indicated that we could only buy the water filter through them although it is sold at Home Depot (see photo).

I asked for a refund as their invoice does not state their refund policy. I also sent them an email before they charged my VISA stating that they were no authorized to charge my card and they did. They will not process a refund.

This appears to be an unfair selling practice.

un responsive ? please i have 8 emails to you explaining that as an authorized viking service compny we have to use oem parts for your protection should we put in a similar part that is not a manufactures oem part and it should fail causing water damage to your property you would have no coverage from manufacutre or your insurance company as the proper part was not installed
also we installed a part from viking the viking invoice # and price was forwarded to you
no we will not take back the filter you purchased from home depot and refund you for the viking filter we installed for two reasons 1 its not a viking filter 2 we need a viking invoice to show where filter was purchased from in case of any liability
i have also advised you many times to contact viking if you have an issue with pricing as they set the prices not us
now it was explained before the service was started that we have to install a viking water filter in your viking product Antonella agreed to this she is the person on the work order and in toronto (not peter in saint john)
so why you came up with this scam to try and return a home depot part to us to replace the viking filter we installed i do not understand
in a last attempt to make you understand
try going to your car dealer and ask them to order and install canadian tire parts

Bosch Dishwasher Warranty Repair

Our brand new Bosch Dishwasher only ran once cycle and died on us. The company (Canadian Appliance Source) that we bought the dishwasher from was completely useless (but that is another review) and we had to go through the manufacturer for warranty. Bosch customer service gave me the number for 4MD as they are the 3rd party company that deals with all Bosch repair issues in my area. I called 4MD and left message. Within two hours they called me back to get my information, I received a call at 8:30am the following day to tell me they would be there between 1pm and 3pm. They showed up at 1:30pm, fixed the issue on the spot and now my dishwasher is running like it should. The people on the phone were polite and friendly, the gentleman who fixed my appliance was extremely knowledgeable and was also polite and friendly. I can't say enough about this incredible company. Wish I could rate more than 10 stars!!
