From planning stage to completion M.E. Contracting was AMAZING to deal with. Eitan, Karen and the whole team were all extremely accommodating throughout the process and helped turn our vision of a backyard retreat into a reality. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail of the entire team was outstanding, and the transformation was completed on time and on budget. M.E. really cares about the work that they do and the overall experience of the homeowner. We truly appreciate the level of responsiveness M.E. has had with us, as communication was excellent, no question was left un answered and nothing was ever a problem. A great experience overall and we now have a beautiful backyard to enjoy for years to come.

M.E contracting did an amazing job on our backyard renovation, that included the installation of a fibreglass pool, raised deck with outdoor kitchen and a basement walkout that can now be used as a cozy 3-season room. Eitan and his entire crew were extremely professional and thought of every single touch needed to make sure we have the perfect backyard for entertaining and to enjoy everyday with our family.

We decided to get a quote from the team based on excellent recommendations and did M.E. deliver. There was absolutely no delays, no price adjustments and every question I had was immediately addressed. Our family has enjoyed our backyard more than weve ever had in the past 15 years. After reviewing designs from a couple of other firms, a friend referred us to Eitan and Keren. In one sitting with us, Eitan understood better than we what would work in the yard, and we would not do anything differently! getting the project done during a Covid summer was no easy task, but the team navigated through the difficulties exceptionally. They were always friendly, very responsive, and really a pleasure to work with. We love the way it turned out, and for all the trades we've used over the years for construction and renovation, they are one of the few i would (and have) whoeheartedly recommend

We used M.E. Contracting to fully transform our backyard. We are very excited to have our new pool right in time for the summer.
We did experience a delay with the pool arriving, though once it arrived the project ran fairly quickly. Daryl, the project manager is very responsive, was always there to answer any questions or concerns in a timely manner. His pool team is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Eitan the owner was regularly coming by to check on the progress and reassured us that we will be swimming before summer time. Our experience with M.E was very pleasant. We highly recommend using M.E for your backyard transformation.

It was time to get the interlock replaced at our home and decided to move forward with M.E. Contracting. Daryl was very nice to deal with and we felt great about our decision. When I went to the showroom to pick stone... WOW! What an amazing showroom. I picked my lovely stone and a great fire table and my beautiful furniture. Dorit made the selections easy and I can't wait to sit by the fire when the weather turns chilly. Project complete - thanks all.

I hired ME contracting to create my dream backyard and it completely lived up and exceeded my expectations. From the start, this company was being very professional and continued throughout the whole process of building backyard. I am very particular and detail oriented with what I want and they were able to do everything as planned and more. It was fast and all the workers were very kind and polite. This company is very overrated. I am a detail oriented customer that has high standards and good knowledge. I have fully renovated a house and manage properties for a living. My project was completed, but the process and end result could have been better. They completed the landscaping throughout my entire property after we did a major house renovation.

I received nine different quotes prior to choosing M.E. The company was chosen because Daryl is good at responding to emails/calls and communicating/answering our questions. As well, the price was reasonable (relatively speaking). It was also a bonus that they were able to complete large parts of the job in the winter.
However, my relatively straightforward project was plagued with deficiencies throughout the entire process. The main reason this occurred was a lack of direct supervision and communication from management/supervisor to employees. This meant I needed to be quite involved in providing direction and calling out mistakes. A few examples of issues that should not have occurred, (all issues I had to find and were never caught by a supervisor)…
1) They almost installed the wrong polymeric sand, and then once they had the correct colour, they didn’t set it correctly so it all had to be re-done.
2) They didn’t install the correct curb stones/wall. I challenged them on this and they assured me it was the correct stone. It didn’t look correct to us, so I had to drive and hour away to where the stone was purchased. The stone yard confirmed we had the wrong stone. So begrudgingly Daryl had the wall taken out and reinstalled with the correct stone.
3) After giving explicit instructions to a supervisor as to the location of a fence post, they still installed it too close to my garage making siding replacement impossible.
4) They delivered the wrong gate three times.
5) The interlock had persistent settling issues throughout the spring/summer.
6) My concrete pad was poorly finished, and even after providing feedback as to what needed to be fixed, the installer gave up on trying to fix it.
7) They failed to correctly prepare the ground prior to laying sod, so the grass has struggled to grow evenly.

To their credit, all the easily fixable issues were dealt with eventually. However, it always required work and patience on my end.

Overall, we are relatively happy with the end result. Due to the state of the construction industry in the city, sadly this is probably the best you can ask for.
