After calling Athena at Home Depot—and soliciting quotes from many other fencing specialists—Gilad and his team at Home Depot were the clear winners in terms of quality, timing and pricing (which was competitive). Because my backyard gives off into the middle of a shared alley used as a thoroughfare, it was going to be a tricky job, as I couldn't have a door that opened outward or inward; it had to slide like a gate. Gilad agreed to take the time to come to my house on a Saturday morning so that I could point out specific requests of my project in the actual backyard space...in fact other fencing companies said it was too big a job for such a small space! My request: build me a backyard sliding gate fence that will allow me to use one-half of my backyard as a parking pad for a car, and to keep the other half as a garden for growing. Other than stating my requests for functionality and height, I took a giant leap of faith and just trusted him to create something that looks amazing, aesthetically, and he did!

What I liked best about Gilad other than his designer vision was that during the process, when I took issue with one aspect of the locking mechanism that wasn’t as fully functional as I’d initially anticipated, he came and made it right by fixing it himself in a timely manner. I appreciated his professionalism as much as the final product.
