Evergreen Comfort Control

We choose Evergreen for our new gas fireplace because Doug was very professional and was very patient in going through the process and his quote with us (we had many questions!). We were very happy with his work; he was on time, respectful of our home and cleaned up everything nicely when he was done. We love the new fireplace and would recommend Evergreen to friends and family in the future.

Doug was very professional and arrived promptly. The job was completed to perfection. when I called him about something not working properly he came right away and fixed the problem. I Highly recommend him.

I was very pleased with the recent gas fireplace installation done by EVERGREEN COMFORT CONTROL and by their associate Douglas Hamilton in our house. The installation was done efficiently , in a professional manner and on time . We were made aware of the process and what needs to be done and all our questions were answered clearly. Douglas was very professional,pleasant and efficient. He arrived at the appointed time and left the job site in our basement in perfect condition and clean.He is friendly, courteous and competent. We called Doug to provide a quote for a gas line we needed for our stove. He was very knowledgeable and walked me through the process of what he would need to do to ensure it was safely installed. Another company had given me a lower price but were rushing me to make a decision and they wanted to come that night to do the work. Doug was not pushy at all so we decided to give the job to him. He arrived on early on a Saturday morning since that was the only time we had free with our busy schedule. He got to work right away and was very through with his work. He were very pleased with how he ran the gas line in the basement so it wouldn’t interfere with the finished part of the basement (we were worried there would be holes everywhere!). It was great to work with Doug and we would recommend him to anyone!

We called on Evergreen to install a humidifier on our furnace because he came recommended by a neighbor. We were pleased when Doug arrived on time for the quote (and even called beforehand to let us know exactly when he would arrive), the other companies we had called on to quote were always either late or didn’t show up at all! While Doug as there we also had him check our BBQ gas line that we had installed last year because there was a bit of a gas smell in our mechanical room and it turned out we had a gas leak too! Doug went over the options to fix it and we had him get to work right away to fix the leak. He came back the next day to install our humidifier and we were very satisfied with his work! We would recommend him to family and friends for sure, thanks Doug!

Horrible, Horrible! In my opinion and experience in short; Devastating and exhausting! Service was installed months ago and fireplace is still not working properly. For about 4 months it wouldn't work at all! Doug only asked for more money as he kept coming over to try and fix the previous problem. He created every problem on his own! Damaged the face of the fireplace (and sat there staring at me like he was hoping I would say no just leave it damaged, its ok, we only paid you for a brand new one!), he damaged my carpet as he dragged his dirty pants on them, the walls around from his hands. Doug also did not return calls and disappeared when confronted about the last problem we have. His excuse is because he invested a lot of time and money out of his pocket! He claims on his website to give satisfaction well we have nothing but the opposite! There are other cheaper and larger companies out there that care to keep a positive name. I would suggest in my opinion to use them.

Evergreen Comfort Control proved itself to be a very reliable and trustworthy company and I would highly recommend hiring it for your gas installations. Evergreen recently replaced an old gas fireplace with a new direct vent unit. Douglas provided excellent communication in helping with the selection of the proper unit and in arranging for the installation. He explained the features as well as the care and use of the new fireplace clearly and answered any questions. The work was completed on time and the crew was tidy. Douglas was easy to deal with and took great pride in his work. Extremely pleased with the new fireplace and with the level of service and quality of work provided by Evergreen Comfort Control.
