We had previously used Yurli to work on converting part of our laundry room into a brand new shower. That was a year ago. We were so pleased with the finished result and the very competitive price, that we decided to employ him again to update our bathroom. I never usually make recommendations, but we recommended him to a friend of ours. That friend recommended him in turn to a friend of his, and the feedback was that that friend was delighted with the job Yurli did.

At this time we do not need any work done, but if we did we would be calling Yurli. He is professional, dependable and reasonably priced. We did have a minor adjustment that needed to be made to our shower door, and Yurli returned within a day to make the adjustment - I think such follow-up support is essential when employing someone. Great job again Yurli, thanks.

Our master bathroom was completely renovated. Features are a curb-less shower with glass partition, a hydro heated floor and a heated towel rack. The floor and walls were fully tiled as well as the ceiling above the shower.
Work was completed to a very high standard and the bathroom was finished in an extremely timely manner considering all that had to be accomplished. We are very happy with our new bathroom and hope to have Yuriy and Milan back to do further renovations.

The last room in our home that needed to updated (after 20+ years) was our master bedroom ensuite. It had originally been carpeted, had a tiny shower, empty bulkheads etc. This had to change. We found Yuriy and Universal House Improvement on HomeStars. After a number of quotes, we took on Yuriy, he was professional, provided good ideas and was flexible. We set a date to start.

Yuriy gave us good contacts to shop for tiles, paint, fixtures etc. We purchased our stuff and Yuriy and Milan went to work. They were polite, timely, clean and caused as little disruption to our home as anyone could have.

All in all, Yuriy removed our old 72" vanity and installed a new one, with sinks, tap, mirror etc. Installed pot lights and painted the whole room. He removed the carpet (!) and installed our floor tile. Removed our old tub and shower, moved the toilet from one side of the room to the other, removed the bulkhead and installed a beautiful ceramic shower (approx. 25 sq ft) with a window, rain head fixtures, a large niche and arranged for a glass wall/door into the bathroom.

Everything is just beautiful, we are thrilled with our new bathroom. Yuriy and Milan have a terrific worth ethic and are highly skilled. Everything was done to perfection (see the attached pictures). Our only issue now is that the most beautiful room in our house is a bathroom!!

My wife and I are happily making referrals to Yuriy for our friends, who get the tour of our new ensuite. Well priced, beautifully done and all at the quoted price. I will happily endorse Yuriy to one and all.

Yuri (the owner) did 2 of our washrooms (family and master bedroom). The project took around 7 weeks to complete + 2 weeks to wait for our countertop and shower glass.

Over the entire project, Yuri was very professional.

Starting from the quote, he was able to provide us with a quote on the spot unlike other contactors that required 2 weeks (and a lot of follow ups). Before we even started the project and before any deposits, he spent over 4 hours with us discussing designs, options and even providing us with tips that ended up saving thousands. The final cost was exactly as discussed prior to the start of the project although we had made minor alterations and additions as we went along.

We were very pleased that work on our bathroom started and completed on time (within 1~2 days).

To give a sense of the magnitude of work: we ripped out tiles, tubs, walls; moved plumbing, toilets and electrical; installed new vents, heated floors, heated towel rack, standing shower (drops from ceiling) and a free standing tub. The quality of work was excellent (not perfect but very close).

I really appreciated that Yuri did not hesitate to suggest designs that would require more work for him (with no cost increase). He never pressured us to pick materials that would be easier to install. Simple told us to pick what we liked.

Overall, we are very happy with our bathrooms to the point that I miss my bathroom when I travel.

*4 years after reno*
We had to bring Yuri back 1 year after the reno for a minor fix in the attic. We had some condensation in the exhaust pipe in the attic. Instead of a quick fix, he took the time to add an insulated sleeve to the pipe which completely eliminated the issue.

Still extremely please with our bathroom and compared to other bathroom reno we've seen since then, we are super glad we went with Yuri.

We've used Yuriy and his team for multiple renovaitons over the past few years. We are always impressed with Yuriy's professionalism, quality of work, and attention to detail. Yuriy has always treated our home as if it was his own, and is clean, respectful, and organized.

On this job, Yuriy and his team removed an old kitchen, took out a wall, and installed new cabinets and backsplash throughout. We love our new kitchen!

Yuriy knows his stuff and is very professional. They were clean and productive every day they were here and very respectful. We had them totally gut the bathroom and put in a custom steam shower. Yuri and his colleague Nikita were amazing. Their work ethic was exceptional. We had a small washroom with a sink and a toilet and wanted to add a shower. Yuri extended the washroom in to an adjoining laundry room, and the finished renovation exceeded our expectations. Having read all the reviews on Homestars are expectations were high, but as I mentioned the end result was better than we anticipated. Yuri not only did what we asked, he didn't hesitate to offer his opinion of what was required, and his suggestions worked out great. Would we use Yuri again - YES.
