My husband and I ordered two twin mattresses from Christian at Black Sheep. The personalised service we received from him was absolutely stellar -- I cannot recommend his company enough. And the mattresses are perfect, beautifully made, zippered so that you can add/change whatever you need to as it wears. If you want a mattress that will be perfect for you, call Christian!

Looking for a new mattress, I searched online to find mattress makers. Really wanting an organic mattress, I finally felt at home when I met Christian in his shop. The quality of his materials far surpassed anyone else I saw. He was personable, service orientated and the product I got was amazing! Organic or not, he is the one to buy a mattress from:) He also made me a bed so I wouldn't have to use my old box spring!!!!

We wanted a natural mattress for our toddler's bed and a bit of internet sleuthing led us to Christian. He was fantastic! He answered all of our questions and was very friendly. The bed we bought had some restrictions on mattress height but he worked out a solution to make a mattress fit the bed. He also made us a mattress cover so we didn't have to put down the usual plastic sheet people use on kid's beds.

I totally recommend this company, love the natural materials he uses, found the price very reasonable and we will be buying all our mattresses here from now on.

We met Christian at the home show and stopped by his workshop to talk about mattresses and pillows. My husband is looking for a tempurpedic type mattress but I want something more natural than memory foam. We were really impressed with not only Christian's craftsmanship but that he really wants to help you find the right product. He has many different ways of constructing his beds to suit each person and I love that he uses natural latex, organic cotton and well made springs. I have not been happy with our mattress purchases over the years from box stores and we have been researching what to buy for awhile. For now we have purchased a very nice pillow and will be ordering a mattress from Black Sheep once we're ready. We would highly recommend visiting this company if you are looking for a better mattress alternative for an extremely reasonable price.

I've been sleeping on a mattress from Christian for about 2 years and it's made a big difference from the mattress I was sleeping on before. Previously, I was seeing my chiropractor about once a month for lower back pain and a sore neck, versus now I only see him once a year as a check up. Also, with this mattress I've seen a big difference in having a more even temperature while sleeping, probably due to the natural materials. All in all I couldn't be happier with my mattress and pillow. Dealing with Christian was a delight, and I would definitely recommend Black Sheep Mattress to anyone.

I did a serious amount of research when I decided to buy a new bed. I narrowed my choice down to Black Sheep and another local bed maker. I chose Black Sheep because of the quality of the product, the fact that it contained all natural materials and the personality and commitment to excellence of the owner, Christian Schmidt. Having slept on my Black Sheep bed for the last 10 nights I have to say that I couldn't be happier. If you are looking for a new, high quality bed I would urge you to speak to Christian about his wonderful product.
