He showed up but that's all he did.

Based on our experience, we do not recommend JSN. After reading all the rave reviews on HomeStars, we contacted JSN to repair our dryer that wasn’t heating up. When the technician arrived, he asked no questions, so we explained that it failed to provide enough heat to actually dry clothes and it would just run for hours and hours if we didn’t interrupt it.

He checked the outside airflow which we had already done, then took front panel off and ran the dryer for 25 minutes. When we inquired how it was going, he said dryer was working. We were shocked because at this point, he had done nothing besides turn on the dryer and scroll through his phone for almost 30 minutes. We explained again that the dryer was ‘running’ but it was failing to heat enough to actually dry clothes - taking about 4 hours to dry a small load. So, he ran the dryer for another 15 minutes after which he offered to simply order and replace both thermostats. Apart from the screwdriver to remove the front panel, he had not used any tools and tested no parts. We were surprised he didn’t test anything to see if it was working or not. As for ordering the parts, he said he had no idea on cost or delivery time, telling us that he had ordered a part months ago and the customer was still waiting after 6 months for replacement. This did not leave us feeling optimistic.

His main concern was whether we’d be paying cash for the service call and for the subsequent repair call. He left with the promise to give us a quote for replacement thermostats. Two days later, he texted saying he wasn’t sure whether or not he could find the parts to order. We did a quick Google search and found at least 2 suppliers with inventory. We were baffled. It seems he wasn’t interested in doing the repair. It cost us $70 and the dryer still isn’t fixed.

Approximate cost of services:
$70.00
