Peter and City Roofing came highly recommended to us by our neighbours. When we purchased a new home, we contacted Peter immediately who came with us to visit the property twice to survey the roof and eavestrough work required. The home had not been maintained properly over the years and Peter gave us a fair and honest assessment, never once trying to upsell us and ensuring he would bring the home back to good condition.

We completed a full roof replacement, installed new vents, new eavestroughs and gutters complete with Leaf Guard, and new downspouts. The job took 2 full days to complete with Peter and his crew taking care to protect the house / windows from damage from the work and a full cleanup at the end. Peter kept us apprised of the progress during the project and provided plenty of photos before and after the ensure we were satisfied with the work. His professionalism and high level of service are the reason I do not hesitate to recommend him to others.

A follow-up to my original review: We experienced a problem a few months after with a minor leak in our master ensuite. We gave Peter a call and he came out the very next day to inspect the roof. He did a thorough walkabout and we confirmed the leak was not as a result of the roof. Despite it not being his problem to contend with, he went the extra mile to help us diagnose the issue and narrow down the cause. He even put is in contact with a contractor who rectified the leak. He followed up with us through the entire process. Again, this only proves that Customer Service is #1 in his books and we would not hesitate to recommend him or his team to anyone. Based on word of mouth, I asked Peter to replace the roof for my house a few years ago.
I was not very knowledgeable in this area; Peter was very patient in explaining to me what was to be done before signing the contract. His team arrived and finished at the scheduled time, leaving the space as clean as before.
So far, there have been no issues even after experiencing a couple of high speed gales in the past few years.
Overall, I am very satisfied.

Within 24 hours of reporting a suspected leak, Peter showed up and gave my roof a check, even if the job was done over 7 years ago, reapplied caulking as a precautionary measure and gave some tips on investigation. Highly recommended.

We have done quite some research over different companies from homestar as well as referrals from friends. We received and compared 4-5 offers and it was really a mixed bag with a wide price range. There are quite some differences in how companies would offer to do with shingles, flashing, underlayment, warranty etc.

Peter and his company was not offering the cheapest price but we still picked them, for a good reason. With all factors considered, Peter offers the best coverage and value for comparable quotes. I have zero complaints in the communication department as he is very easy to get hold of, before or during the job.

Peter took the time to take photos and showed me during the inspection and installation. He did the emergency repair free of charge weeks before the temperature is right, and he also replaced the rusted flashing and installed two new vents at new locations to improve the circulation, all with no extra cost. The cleanup was also well done, as I inspected around the house but failed to find a nail on the ground.

Only time will tell how well the roof is going to hold together, but as far as the job done so far, I am a happy customer and would say get a quote and comments from Peter if you need a new roof.

City roofing did an excellent job in replacing the roof of my house recently in April 2022. Peter and his team were very detailed and did all the precautionary procedures protecting the surrounding of the house especially the windows before starting to dismantle the roof. Peter and team replaced our roof and he was very professional, patient, and helpful throughout the process of deciding on the right shingles and answering all my questions. Went with charcoal GAF Timberline HD shingles and upgraded to Timbertex ridge caps which gave things a more textured look. My neighbour has them so I knew it would look great.

Our old roof was not well installed and the shingles were of poor quality. I didn't know much about roofs at that time and just replaced the roof with 3-tab shingles like what was already there. We live in a windy spot and I learned the drill to call the old roofing company immediately DURING windstorms to have any hope of reasonably prompt (not free) repairs. One time the company repairman that came told me that they hadn't done a good job!

New roof was quickly and efficiently installed in one day. I also got Peter to do a bit extra and arranged to have some discoloured wood trim repainted since it was too high for me to reach safely. Much appreciated. Cleanup was excellent too and no damage to the grounds and not a single nail found on the lawn! They were pretty comprehensive about covering windows, garden lights, and lots of tarps to catch any nails. Also noticed that they didn't lean ladders directly on the eavestroughs so as not to bend them like the previous roofers had done.

All their installs are also "high wind" installations with 6 or 7 nails per shingle. I could hear the rhythm all day. This was extra important to me. It's been only a year but so far no issues with wind or shingles flapping. My old roofer I'm pretty sure used the minimum of 4 nails.

Peter provided digital pictures and a website to view the roof as it progressed so you could verify the work.

Would definitely recommend Peter and City Roofing for quality professional work and peace of mind. They're quote was also better priced than the old roofing company who I only called to get a comparison from.

My family, my relatives and my neighbours have been using City Roofing for the past 15 years or so, and we've never been disappointed. Peter recently replaced my eavestrough and helped me connect a down spout to a rain barrel. Peter and his team recently renewed our roof and eavestrough.   Peter put down boards and secured a bin on wheels to avoid any damage to our new driveway. Peter and his crew also did a thorough clean up of all nails and other debris extending to the neighbours yard and street.  The roof and eavestrough look good and modern. We are very happy with the work and would say this company consists of knowledgeable, caring and considerate people.

Great work and service. Work was done on the scheduled day and from estimate to completion of the work, Peter walked me through the process and helped address any concerns I had with our existing roof (also fixed one of our downspouts and some spots on our roof). The team laid tarp all around the house and did a great clean up afterwards. Peter was on site doing the work with his team the entire time, which I valued (doesn't source out the work).
