We highly recommend Gala Kitchens & Bath, and would use them again on future projects.

We had multiple quotes on a bathroom renovation, Scott and Mike were professional and provided timely, detailed, and realistic cost estimates.

The work included removing the old fixtures, extending the bathroom, new plumbing fixtures, tiled floor and a tiled shower, as well as electrical.

In the process of estimating the job, they made suggestions based on their experience (turn old exhaust vent into a window, lower the shower floor) which had minor costs but definitely improved the final result.

During the project, any questions or wrinkles that came up were addressed quickly, and to our satisfaction.

Gala’s work was top quality and very professional. Scott was great to work with as he was very responsive and had great design insight.

I just want to follow up on a review I posted last year for Gala's work on our bathroom. I called Scott this week to ask him about some black mold that had started to grow around the base of our shower - just to get his advice and see if he could take a look. Not only did he come out and take a look the next day, but cleaned the mold out and re-sealed the tiling. He didn't have to do that - apparently it was just surface mold caused more by summer humidity and the fact that we weren't using the bathroom fan when we should have been doing so. And he didn't charge for this extra work. Scott is the best.

WE LOVE OUR NEW KITCHEN!!!! After much searching and with our own designs ready to go, we brought the full gutting and renovation of our galley kitchen to Scott and Gala Kitchens. We were impressed with his thoughtful, calm approach and his creative solution to our design and "old house" problems. Scott took the time to meet us at the cabinet maker. He willingly adjusted schedules when our back splash order was delayed. When issues arose, as issues always arise in a reno, he was easy to approach and promptly addressed our concerns. In addition to the kitchen reno, we had a heated floor installed in our mudroom creating a whole new living space and Sean, one of Scott's gifted craftsmen, built us a removable oak railing - a feat many said could not be done! The project came in within budget. We would highly recommend Scott and Gala Kitchen for your home renovation projects!

We found Gala Kitchen & Baths through HomeStars. They renovated two of our bathrooms. One was a powder room: the sink and toilet were downsized, and a rain head shower put in. The whole room was tiled, including the floor which slanted toward a drain (no separated partition). A rail system shower curtain was put in, which tucks in nicely in the corner. The room has now a lot of space, with the shower being a subtle addition (it is nice to have a second shower in the house).

The other was our main full bathroom. EVERYTHING was replaced and re-done, including a window replacement. This job was almost complete when there was an issue with the bathtub not being leveled. This meant removal of some of the tiles, and cutting a hole through the downstairs bathroom in order to lift and level the tub. In addition, there was a large gash in the tub which had been concealed prior to the re-leveling. Though this delay was not optimal, we were most impressed with Scott’s actions. He pro-actively moved forward with the repair without hesitation. Those repairs were also done very well. For example, the person he brought in to repair the gash in the tub was fantastic.

Scott was very communicative and quick to respond i.e. my initial queries, and any questions that followed. He was also very communicative about timelines and scheduling: Scott and his team always ensured if it was OK to work on evenings, and weekends. Scott also communicated if visits were to be late, or had to be changed at the last minute. Scott also provided a detailed estimate prior to work, and asked thoughtful questions throughout his assessment. His estimate matched well with the actual costs. Scott was also well connected with respect to the retailers, and equipment and supply options.

We would definitely use Gala Kitchen & Baths again, and recommend them highly.

Scott and his team did a brilliant job working with a very tight timeline. We were moving into our condo at the end of May, so that only gave them a month to fabricate kitchen cabinets and install. Thankfully, they were able to give us a functioning kitchen in that time. To properly finish the kitchen took a while longer, but this was fine given that we could use it. There was one detail involving the kitchen range hood that didn't quite work out, though they were great in adjusting this to more adequately fit the look we were going for. Scott was great at addressing any problems that arose and the final product is absolutely beautiful. We now have a very high end kitchen that serves our needs much better than the subpar builder's standard kitchen we tore out. Having lived with it for over a month now, it is practical, durable and gorgeous! Definitely the best kitchen we have ever had and we will come back to Scott and his team in the future.

I can’t thank Gala Kitchen and Bath enough for the great work they did. The master bathroom had specialized lighting which required a lot of coordination between the trades and Gala Kitchen and Bath really made everything run very smoothly. Scott has a great team behind him who are reliable and very detail oriented. The craftsmanship is top notch! If I ever do any other renovations in the future I will be sure to have Gala kitchens and bath doing the work.

The demolition of the old bathroom took 3 days. New tiling was installed in the shower, shower floor, tub surround, the floor and the wall behind the toilet. Scott Thomas recommended places to look for tile, vanity, fixtures, toilet, sink and countertop. We found what we liked and needed at each of the places he recommended - a little more on the higher end side, but not over the top price-wise. Scott Thomas from Gala was easy to deal with and he was very responsive when any issues came up, big or small. His crew was reliable and competent. Gala Kitchens and Bath was a pleasure to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. You're in good hands.

We presented Gala Kitchens and Bath with a job we had been dreading digging into since we bought our 104 year old house back in 2012. Basically we needed to remove an early 1970's kitchen, demolish a raised dining room floor, rebuild damaged and warped subflooring, and remove, replace and insulate 1914 era un-insulated lathe and plaster walls. Oh, yeah and we also needed them to build and install a custom, modern kitchen.

They managed this, without any defects I can find, and without causing any damage at all to our house, not even a scratch. And all at a very reasonable price.

These guys are top shelf kitchen and bathroom rebuilders, everything is custom made, and they seemingly can deal with any renovation, no matter how difficult. It was like "all you have to do is point" and they would just do it, fix it, replace it, no issues, no complaints, like magic.

They gave us a beautiful, modern kitchen, very tough and functional but also extremely nice to look at, for a very reasonable price, according to our timelines and working with our schedule, and did it all with a friendliness and approach-ability that left us feeling very good about the whole affair.

And they even cleaned our house afterwards. Vacuumed, dusted, it was like they had never been there.

Highly recommended. These guys are pros. Top shelf, worth every penny.
