Jason’s attention to detail and and interpersonal skills are impressive. His knowledge of design, shop drawings, installation and plants is a great great one shop stop.

We had a spot with two aging shrubs. VL dug them out and replaced them with several attractive new plantings. They fenced the gap perfectly. They also saved the smaller original plants and moved them to a better spot elsewhere in the garden.

Jason was great from the start. He worked on my front lawn and built me a beautiful divider. We worked together on a design and plant selections and he gave me a few design options. He was prompt, patient and his passion for his work showed. Would totally recommend!

Jason provided a full service consultation, design and landscaping for my yard in Midtown Toronto. This included drawings for a front parking pad and backyard stone patio. Jason managed the process with the city of Toronto to complete the application process for the parking pad. Jason worked closely with the contractor to ensure the stone work was completed as per the drawings. He provided advice on a variety of trees, plants and shrubs based and completed all the planting with his crew.
The finished product was amazing and receives complements from anyone that sees it. I liked the work so much that I have him coming back this year to do even more.

I have been struggling to find a reasonably priced landscaping solution to give my house more curb appeal for years. Jason from vertical landscaping came up with a wonderful design that incorporated many of my existing plants, combining them with new plantings in a really smart way. After initial yard measurements, observations of various height irregularities and the sun/shade mix, very quickly, Jason came back with a number of design options that took into account our requests and expectations. He also added design considerations that had not occurred to us, but that really made sense for our situation. The options presented were challenging, as we liked a number of elements in each draft layout option. After consideration and discussion, we settled on a plan that was a composite of many elements of the different options presented initially.
With the landscape work complete, we can now more fully appreciate the design work that was provided. The thoughtful consideration of texture, colour, size and sun/shade has combined to deliver a yard that exceeded our expectations.
