Installed a Trane heat pump and a Trane high efficiency gas furnace to back up the heat pump in very cold temperatures. The heat pump is supposed to work effectively down to -15C. It could not keep our house warm (21C) at the outside temperature of +3C. Reliance technicians say the device is performing properly.
The installation was done well but we were sold a heat pump that does not generate enough heat for our climate.
So we are using the gas furnace all the time.

We have been long time customers and had hot water tank, furnace, and air conditioner installed. They were great at the start. We are on a service agreement with them which is supposed to include regular maintenance and repair services at any time.

This never happens. We went to book a maintenance call and it was going to be over a month wait. This is unacceptable business practices when you are paying monthly to have much much better service than this.

Having to call and fight to speak to a manager is also very frustrating. It should never happen, again, when you are paying monthly and the fees increase every damn year. More cost - less service.

Had our Water Heater installed by Mitch a subcontractor of Reliance. Mitch provided a great service to install water heater. He is courteous, polite and professional. He also very respectful of my home. Absolutely Excellent service!! Mitch was very professional, did the job perfectly. Highly recommended Reliance and Mitch to friends and family.

Carlos did an excellent job performing the maintenance on the furnace. He was very professional, and did a nice clean job. Perfect. Will recommend his services to anyone needing HVAC installation.

Marco was the tech that serviced my furnace. He was thorough, polite, and respectful of my home. I pay a monthly amount for a reliance furnace package. It has paid off in the few months Ive been a customer. Ive had my furnace repaired and serviced at no extra cost to myself outside of the monthly fee.

This is just a warning to those who are thinking about renting with Reliance. Particularly a water softener. The salesman only stated to me it would be $29.99 a month. Sounded like a fair deal at the time. However after looking at the fine details of the agreement I noticed the actual cost of the softener was $507.00. After my 84 months of payments I will have paid $2645.16. They are charging me 74.04% interest with a total cost of interest of $2012.16. You are far better off purchasing a water softener and saving a whole bunch of money! I will say that there service is top notch.

I purchased an AC unit for my condo this year. The salesperson (Jigar) was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. AC unit purchase had limited 1 year warranty due to a value deal. The unbelievable issues occurred after unit installation.

1. Initial AC unit install was poorly done with leaks. AC stopped providing cool air after 2 weeks. Tech mentioned having challenges with my condos ready AC rough-in.

2. Follow up appointment scheduled to fix the leak followed by the technician (Emilio) cancelling on the day of due to it being a "late" afternoon appointment and the tech indicated he had personal obligations. Took a day off work for nothing.

3. Third appointment scheduled with the same tech that cancelled prior to. Fixed the leakage and have not had an issue since. That said, tech attempted to deflect blame to the company scheduler and condo developer for unverified AC rough-in issues, which is quite unprofessional. Tech also set up a subsequent appointment to have a service duo to look into the leak once again.

4. Fourth appointment set, two techs came to evaluate the AC and install. No issues found or any further leakage. An additional day off work due to scheduled service as per prior tech.

5. I reached out to the service manager (Farid) to share my service feedback and loss of confidence on the AC install to request an extension on the warranty. Was told they cannot extend the warranty further.

6. I requested to escalate the issue further up however my emails or calls were never responded back to after 3 follow-up attempts. Very disappointing and poor communication by the organization.

3 days booked off work for one AC install and continuous disappointment. Very unprofessional experience dealing with Home Reliance. Highly do not recommend.

I call reliance home comfort for a furnance repair because it say had 4 star and up. They send this guy come and did not do any thing, did not clean the flame sensor, or check thermostate. First thing come out of his mouth was are you going to paid $99 + tax for diagnostic.
All he did it look with his eye on the furnance and then tell me I need a new control board, cost $800. and your furnace is really old should buy new one!!
I ask how do you know I need a new control board, you did not test any thing. no answer.
After he left I watch youtube and clean the flame sensor my furnance work again. So I would like all customer to be aware of this company, do not call them. They do nothing and charge $99 for diagnostic

I was very pleased with the gentleman that came to install my furnace and humidifier. They arrived on time an had it completed in a timely manner. They were professional and friendly and would recommend them to anyone. I have been a Reliance customer for 5+ years and would recommend them to everyone
