This is the second time I’ve used Simon and the SB Team. I am in an open-concept house and wanted vinyl plank flooring on the main floor, and a completely new stairwell to make the space look more open and modern.

Simon came with so many good ideas and recommendations, both on style and some ways to keep cost under control while still achieving what I wanted. The team was punctual, quick, and very respectful of my home. Their work was beautiful and for a reasonable and competitive cost.

Simon did not disappoint me. He gave me a reasonable quote and delivered good customer service. The installer Mathieu is courteous and hardworking and he did a great job installing my new staircase and flooring.

Simon and team did an absolutely outstanding job replacing hardwood floors in 3 rooms and the pickets of a large, 3-storey curved staircase! The subfloor had to be raised a bit with plywood in order to level the hardwood with the tiles. Overall, the craftsmanship for both the hardwood and stairs was stellar and the crew finished everything on time! Simon and his crew are the most punctual contractors I've ever worked with - all of them were on-site every day at 8:30 am sharp and immediately got to work. At the end of the workday, the crew would clean up and put away all their tools neatly organized. There was also a very positive and calm working atmosphere amongst the team. My entire experience with Simon and team from sales to planning to execution was pleasant throughout and I won't hesitate for a second to engage them again.

Szymon and team did a wonderful job replacing my basement stairs. This company is very professional, priced competitively and is open to making modifications as the project progresses. I did my research and they by far were the best for your value.

They were able to match the stain on the stairs to the floor exactly and provided many options to choose from.

My wife and I decided to hire SB Hardwood Stairs and Flooring to replace all the flooring in our home and refinish the stairs and railings to our second floor and it was the best decision we could have made. Simon and his team were not only very professional but they competed the work in a timely manner, cleaned up after each day and ensured that the lines of communication were kept open with any and all questions that we had along the way. Simon at SB was a pleasure to deal with, along with his guys Matt and Alex. Simon followed up when he said he would and his guys showed up on time each day and communicated all through the job to make sure we were happy and if they had any questions. Simon and his guys were also very helpful to help us choose what style and colour to go with on the posts and rails and worked hard to ensure our stain was matched as best as possible on the rails.
Not only were the guys super professional, they were super clean, and tidy and beyond meticulous, and so careful to not make a mess too much. Due to Covid we are both working from home and they made every effort to cause as little disruption as possible.

If I had more stairs to fix up I would hire them again, perhaps at our next house.

Simon was great to work with and very flexible in scheduling since we had 4 kids to relocate during the work. Mat and team were incredible with the work done. Everything is perfect, site cleaned up every day, attention to every little detail. Asked for a custom border around tile at front and super happy with how it turned out. A week before the job started changed our minds to also do all baseboard through house and somehow it only impacted the timeline by a day.
