We received a recommendation for Simon from our neighbours to refinish our builder grade stairs. Simon got back to us right away and set up an appointment for a quote. Simon is prompt and courteous and was very helpful in giving us advice every step of our stair renovation. He matched our floor stain perfectly, painted the stringers the same colour code as our trim and brought and left samples of everything from post to pickets. No pressure and a pleasure to work with. The project was complete within the timeline he set out, and everyday before they left the area he was working on was thoroughly cleared of any debris or mess. As we have 2 young kids, this attention to detail was greatly appreciated.
We are going through a full reno and Simon made this project hassle free, all that's left for me is to paint the walls! We are more than pleased with the result. Thanks again Simon!

We chose SB Hardwood based on other reviews we found, and could not have been happier! They replaced our hardwood in three rooms and refinished our stairs and installed new railings. Their pricing was competitive, and they were able to complete all the work within their estimated time. Each day began with an overview of what they were going to accomplish, and they even helped us move some of the bulkier furniture around so we could manage the disruption in the house. And every day, they cleaned up and stacked their tools neatly out of the way. It was a pleasure working with Simon. Would absolutely recommend!

Throughout the entire process, Simon was extremely helpful, responsive, professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with!

I had my entire main floor hardwood replace (previously was builder grade), and Simon / his team did a fantastic job. I also had Aria vents installed which look amazing! They showed up on-time, were efficient, and did a beautiful job in my home.

As a second project, I had Simon and his team come back to refinish my stairs which included re-staining the treads, painting the runners and stringers, and installing a brand new railing. I couldn't believe the work that was involved - they took their time and made sure of every detail throughout the process.

I used SB Hardwood in Feb 2022 to replace my original stairs and railings in my 1997 house. They first provided a reasonable quote. They then tailored their timing to mine as I was taking an extended vacation. Simon was very communicative in replying to me always promptly. They arrived on time every day, worked hard the entire day, patiently answered my numerous questions and went out of their way to please. They constantly kept me aware of their progress, informed me in advance when I couldn’t use the stairs for brief periods, and made sure the stairs and railings were secure every night so I wouldn’t get injured. The result was absolutely stunning and I couldn’t be happier. If I could give them more than 10/10, I would! Such a pleasure to
deal with and efficient, respectful and meticulous in their work. Please ignore the walls in the pictures as the beige has not been repainted a light gray yet.
