Golden Valley Decks

Me and my family got together last year to decide on a deck contractor. We are glad that we have chosen Golden valley Deck to complete the deck in our backyard . Ryan did an excellent job explaining the procedure. The crew is just completing our deck this week and the quality of the deck and their workmanship was excellent. I am strongly recommending this company to anybody
who is in the process of building a deck in the near future.

we just bought a house in Markham. we got Ryan's number from my friend. they had an excellent experience with Ryan's job. From start to finish, Ryan and his crew are very professional and friendly. Golden valley deck is a company with good reputation in our community. Deck was built in one day and it looks great. Mike , the guy who build the deck worked very hard and was pleasure to deal with, as were the guys who made the concrete posts. Ryan, their manager, is a really nice guy and extremely knowledgeable. Their prices were good too. I would highly recommend this company.

Ryan was excellent in the beggining and through the end, however, once i paid him the last check, he didnt come back to finish the work that the city required to be finished. When I asked him to fix some issues as the boards were warping (after only 30 days) he said I was being picky. I asked him to come back and resolve the issues, but to make sure I was there, he said okay. He came by when I was not home and did the work, but not to specifications. I called him and he said he could not make sure I was home and that he was to busy. I told him I have some major concerns that the privacy screens were warping. He has since blocked my number and will not answer my calls.

Excellent work in terms of overall build quality and structural support, from a cosmetic point of view nails could have been lined up straighter, boards could have been aligned a little bit more, one deck post slightly too low compared to the rest, good job on flared stair, stair railing could have been actual railing with not just deck boarding used, polite, friendly, patient, returns calls promptly, work done in a timely manner, explained pricing and technical questions very well, I wish the posts had pvc all the way into bottom of posting not just 6 inches deep to surface of soil, I wish deck board was dried out first then installed as this would have prevented gaps as a result of unanticipated shrinking spaces in some spots, quick service, I wish 20 foot board was used rather than two sets of 10 foot boards (monogan lumber sells 20' boards), good job making deck flush with backyard door, deck size was 20' X 16', overall very happy and would recommend Golden

Ryan was great to work with. He created what he had envisioned in a deck. Ryan's price was very competitive, and we were happy with his quote from the beginning. And even when we wanted to make some changes during construction, Ryan was able to accommodate it with minimal cost. Although Ryan gave us an initial date in September, we wanted to be able to enjoy a deck before the summer ended. Ryan was able to squeeze us in at the end of July, due to an opening. And he managed to finish the deck in 2 days time. We have already recommended him to our neighbour. And would recommend him to anyone else.

We hired Ryan to build our backyard single-level wrap-around deck. He was prompt and courteous and true to his word with regards to price, timing and quality of workmanship. Ryan and his crew did a great job and finished the project ahead of schedule and on budget. We love our deck and would highly recommend Golden Valley Decks to anyone.
