You will be charged a $400 late fee for EACH change you make after signing the contact with the design Center. Even the next day. I wanted to change the color of a feature wall I was getting done and the paint total was $350. They said it would cost $400 late fee to change it. Not worth it. Also $400 late fee to change sink. $400 late fee to update electrical. They are all about late fees. Also you can’t change your package. If you pick Nordic package you can’t choose a different color carpet etc.

I can understand paying 1 late fee but $400 for each change is not worth it. If painting is $350, sink $500 then why would I want to pay $800 in late fees? I’m paying for the changes twice essentially.

Questionable quality home built in Fort McMurray, 17 Months ago and still repairs uncompleted to date. 3 car garage with floor drains and they find it acceptable that the garage pad tilts back from the outer edge and allows water to run from outside the pad back under the door seal into the garage. How completely unacceptable is this from a supposed custom builder. This builder in my opinion change there name to run away from the responsibility of being accountable. I would not recommend this hiding builder or any other name they are hiding under today. It took 12 months to build this house. Another builder has built a similar size house next door within 6-7 months. Dri-core flooring was put down in the basement and every step you take is
loud from the without a doubt from being laid down over a very uneven basement pad. Very disappointing to not have the dri-core sitting flat or secured to the
pad. Site supervisor had nothing but excuses for everything that was raised to him. Why after 17
months is there still multiple item still not addressed. Why is code that proper grading is mandatory around the foundation to have water roll away from the foundation base, but it not mandatory to have the
outer lip of the garage floor pad from the door edge out tilted away from the door to allow water to run away from the entrance???? How ridiculous is this, and the excuse oh you have drains inside!!!!! Why and what are you thinking that its ok to have water from outside run into the garage seriously!!!

Cantiro Homes really builds exceptional houses. We purchased a spec home because we fell in absolute love with the floor plan. After living here for 3 months, we could clearly tell where they cheaped out e.g. interior doors and hardware, but nothing major. A few minor things need tweaking come review time but they have proven to be responsive to requests. Would definitely buy from them again and advise others to trust them as well.

My husband and I decided to go with Dolce Vita to build our first home together. They built a fairly decent home with very minor issues to fix with the actual house. We noticed spalling and pitting to our driveway after the first year. We got an explanation that it’s “Alberta weather” and the chemicals the city uses on the roads. If this were the case, all of Edmonton’s driveways would be in the same condition. I believe that dolce vita chose the cheapest contractor to pour the driveway and is now blaming weather for my crumbling driveway. I am now angry because we spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and now we will be stuck with a big bill when we have to replace our 3 YEAR OLD driveway. When I went to Unicon to buy the seal for our driveway, the concrete specialist also agreed that I was a subpar pour and NOT Alberta weather.

Once you buy from Dolce Vita Homes and something breaks down then they are your worst enemies. Our driveway was built on uncompacted soil so it is sinking, there are big deep voids under the concrete slabs causing cracks and big chunks of cement are peeling off and West side of front yard sank about 9 inches but they do not care as a lot of homes built by Dolce Vita are having same issues very poor workmanship. Couple of tiles in our washroom cracked but they declined to fix as
they blame every issue on home owner. Please buy from a different builder and hire a home inspector to find underlying issues. Please talk to neighbours to find out what problems they are facing. Wish I could give this builder negative 0.

Dolce Vita Homes is the worst builder when it comes to home warranty. They will make you regret when something breaks down and you call for repairs under new home warranty. A lot of Dolce Vita Homes are having driveway problems. My home driveway was built on uncompacted soil so it is sinking and bad quality concrete is disintegrating but they refused to fix it blaming City's snow removal salt. They have declined to properly repair our washroom cracked tiles.

This builder is a worst nightmare for a new home buyer. Save yourself a lot of hassle by buying from a different builder & hire a professional home inspector to find underlying issues.

This builder just replies the reviews but does not fix the issues.
