The quality of work Matthew delivered for us along with the professionalism he displayed in doing so were of the highest calibre, superior in most respects to most other contractors we have worked with.

For our project, we asked Matthew to build out modifications to our pantry as well as to build custom cabinets to match a murphy bed / shelving unit in our spare bedroom. Matthew's design for the pantry is functional and sturdy but also beautiful, he addressed all our needs and built everything maximizing the space to the last millimetre (literally). The units built in the spare bedroom match the murphy bed exactly in terms of colour and aesthetics, again these were measured, designed and built with unbelievable precision. He also came up with a very clever idea to solve the lack of headboard on the bed.

He communicated openly throughout the process with us and the work was delivered exactly on the agreed date without any delays, which is frankly rare when working with contractors. We have other future projects in mind, and will not hesitate to reach out to Matthew again when the time comes.

Matthew took what was an awkward and unsightly laundry/storage area and made it into a beautiful and functional space. He also helped us turn a small nook into a great homework area for our kids with the addition of a floating desk.

He has incredible attention to detail and commitment to quality. As much of the build took place in his shop, total work in our house was limited to about 3.5 days.

This review is long overdue. Matthew is an artist. Rarely does one come across a craftsman like Matt. Boring planks of wood and 2 x 4's spring to life. Thats how amazing this 'one man show' is.

Matthew is a creative, collaborative, meticulous carpenter. He is an excellent designer, and has innovative solutions to space challenges. In addition he cleans up after himself with minimum disruption to the household. What is more and very unusual, is that he stuck to the agreed upon schedule. In other words he is a gem!

Matt is a master carpenter - talented in rendering design that fitted with a 95 years old house - precise with excellent attention to details. I will hire him in future with full confidence in his execution of project to highest carpentry standards.

He is a professional, skilled finished carpenter with attention to detail. He tied in the fireplace to my existing baseboard beautifully even though the baseboards were custom made. We had Matthew build a window seat with storage drawers for our bedroom. He responded promptly to our request, and helped out at every stage. Matthew took great care to ensure both the design and function of our seat worked perfectly. We just love it! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Matthew and hope to have him back at some point for more beautiful built-ins. He's a true craftsman.
