Distinctive Interlocking

I own a townhouse with access to the backyard via a narrow garage hallway. Many companies I reached out to last year would not even quote this job due to the access. But Ryan and his team were up for the challenge. I was pleased with their initial work last year, Ryan was supposed to come back this year to work on the rest of the yard and fix all the issues I now have only one year later. Stones are dropping and dipping downward at the edges, there are many cracks throughout in the sealing and the backyard steps are uneven and moving. My elderly mother nearly fell two weeks ago and I can’t put up a railing because they are not glued down or even. I can’t screw down my gazebo purchased this year because the edges are dropping. I at a complete standstill waiting to enjoy my backyard with family this year during this pandemic where our private outdoor space is so important. I booked Ryan based on the Homestars reviews at the time of my service request, this year I noticed I’m not the only one experiencing these same issues. It’s disappointing, I thought Homestars was good route but I’m going to stick to word of mouth with friends and family. Add me to the list of clients dissatisfied with their job last year and patiently waiting for a response and action to fix the problems.

We hired Distinctive Interlocking to replace our withered down backyard patio with fresh one. During the booking, Tim helped sat with us and helped us pick the right stone and we made the booking well in advance. Inspite of the unpredictable early spring weather, Ryan and team kept to their commitment in terms of the timeline and did quality job on the patio. They fully cleaned up after they were done and the patio was as beautiful as we wished it to be. We absolutely loved it and would hire them again for more interlocking work in the future.

We hired Distinctive Interlocking in the summer to reface our sunken concrete patio, build a new walkway and border for our driveway which we planned to widen, and replace the interlock down the side of our house. Our project was supposed to start in early September but was delayed until late October and we grew concerned that we were going to run out of time for our asphalt guys to widen our driveway before the weather turned too cold. But Ryan and his team came through for us, and did a beautiful job. It took a few tries to get our communication on the same page but once we did, Ryan and his team came through with a design and workmanship that far exceeded our expectations. It's clear these guys know what they're doing and genuinely care about doing a good job. We're very happy with the end result, and can say it was absolutely worth the wait in the end. We've received tons of compliments from our neighbors and have turned our house from the most hideous on the street to one of the nicest. We would recommend Distinctive Interlocking to anyone, and would use them again if we ever have another interlocking project.

It was late done due to wet weather. I'm very impressed with their professional approach. Work has been done very professional. These guys knows the job really well. They listened, suggest best option with very reasonable price. I will go again with them every summer for sealing drive way and walk way.

Ryan and the Distinctive Interlock crew made our mess of a backyard look like a paradise in 3 days! They were not only highly skilled hard workers, but overall great people. From the moment we met Ryan for an estimate, we knew that he was the guy for the job. I contacted Ryan and his team to fix up our front patio which was old, full of weeds, and looked absolutely awful. Ryan and his team did an excellent job revamping the space. They tore up all the existing interlocking bricks, leveled the entire space, integrated 2 small new gardens, and then relayed the existing stones in a much more attractive way. The end result is perfect for what we needed, and the cost was very reasonable. Ryan and his team were good to work with and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for help with their interlock project. I will be hiring Ryan and his team to do our backyard next. 5 Starts!

Ryan and his crew were absolutely fantastic. Delivered all contractual obligations and so much more. We requested additional work to be done the day they arrived and they delivered 100%. More impressive is with all our crazy add ons the job was completed in less than a 1 1/2 days as promised.
