LVL beam for stair opening

I contacted Leuri based on positive reviews on Homestars to install an LVL beam to replace a bearing wall at the basement stair. Right at the beginning I knew that he is trustworthy person. He was very busy at the time but there was one day that he would be free. He would come and see me on the day and if everything was ok he woud proceed. The jobs was done in half a day and the job site was clean. I will no hesitate to contact him a gain if there is anything need to be done. In fact I will contact him soon to work on my garage. Thanks Leuri.

Total framing of (2) story addition and original structure.

Leuri was exceptional to work with. Very dependable and a true wealth of knowledge. Leuri helped me out tremendously when working with the other trades as well. He has fantastic suggestions as we went along on the project.

Our project was the gutting of a heritage home and the construction of a (2) story addition on the back of the existing structure. Leuri and his team provided farming for the entire project including sistering the Old joists with LVSs in the original structure. Leuri also worked with a structural engineer to install (2) massive steel beams used for support when load-bearing walls were removed. Leuri was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I have nothing but the highest recommendation for him and his team. Would most definitely hire him again for future projects.

Removal of two load bearing walls

Rebuild The Planet was contacted for help to remove the load bearing wall between my kitchen and family room on main floor and to remove load bearing wall directly below on basement level. Leuri had a structural engineer he worked with and his engineer assisted in putting design requirements together for the project. I submitted the permit application to the city. Leuri was great to work with, reasonably priced, and very accommodating. Leuri showed up as discussed and completed project quickly. No issues and I would gladly use Rebuild The Planet for future renos.

Basement renovation framing

My apologies to Leuri ( Larry ) at Rebuild The Planet for this tardy review.

Leuri really deserves a rating of 11 stars out of 10.

He went above and beyond to complete intricate framing works in my basement - I am very particular about workmanship, as Leuri can attest to.

If I could only use 3 words word to describe Leuri they would be:

"Master Framing Carpenter"

In my 35 plus years experience in the construction and engineering industry I have never met a better group of individuals led by Leuri, that in my humble opinion, are one of the best companies in the construction framing business.

I was immediately impressed by Leuri upon our initial meeting.

First and foremost, Leuri is a very humble and respectful human being - seldom do you find these qualities - especially amongst contractors.

His expertise in construction framing is quite evident when you speak to him, he is very knowledgeable and up to date with current Building Code requirements and is able to "think outside of the box".

The best way to describe my dealings with Leuri and his great crew at Rebuild The Planet is as follows:

Professional, respectful, knowledgeable, excellent workmanship, extraordinary people skills, punctual, expeditious, down to earth, no pressure sales tactics, excellent communication skills, immaculate job cleanup, excellent workmanship guarantee.

The basement layout plan I created was, to say the least, a very detailed geometric design requiring precision layout and execution.

Leuri's confidence and expertise rubs off on his crew and they performed the framing layout with no problem - especially when working with existing exterior walls that are not "square" and when the existing concrete slab is not true to be level - this is the true mark of a " Master Framing Carpenter ".

Leuir provided excellent feed back and resolution to particular problem areas regarding limiting headroom caused by heating supply ducts - once again he demonstrated the ability to "think outside of the box" to help resolve issues not only during construction but also prior to construction during our initial visit.

Leuri is very skilled, he actually assisted me on the spur of the moment to help level the existing concrete floor when my original contractor, who was scheduled to do this work, cancelled out on me at the last minute - Leuri helped out on a Sunday in order to keep the job on schedule - thanks again Leuri, that was very kind of you and very professional.

Leuri has a very good structural insight as well, we exposed an existing concrete block support column which I thought may have been compromised from previous demolition work - however, upon closer inspection, Leuri re-assured me there were no issues - I concurred given my structural background.

In my humble opinion:

If you are looking for any type of construction framing - no matter how complicated, whether structural elements are involved or not, please do not hesitate to call Leuri - you will not be disappointed - he is passionate about providing excellent work - you will be in good hands.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for a reference, you may reach me via text at 705-828-9425

sincerely,

Roy Carretta, CET, AFC

Good idea putting the addition over the existing garage. The new space works perfectly with the home, like it was there from the begining. Let me know if there is anything else we can do.
