Basement Framing

After some debate of whether or not I would tackle the project myself, we decided to hire someone to frame our basement for us, and thankfully we found "Rebuild the Planet" to do all the framing work in our basement.

From beginning to end, Leuri was fantastic. After receiving a few quotes, we decided to stick with Leuri for a few reasons.

1. Response time: was amazing - we had received the first response within a day, and responses to any questions via e-mail usually the same day.

Other companies would not respond for up to a week or longer - so in my mind, if it takes a week to respond for a job opportunity, how long will it take to respond if a problem arises? Leuri was GREAT at responding to any questions or concerns we had from day 1 to completion.

2. Knowledgeable and helpful: We had provided a floor plan of what we had in mind, and we walked through it together. Throughout the walk around, Leuri provided some advice as to how to improve the design and layout, and pointed out a few details that other trades didn't consider (for example, ways re-route duct work and central vac lines to minimize bulkheads, concerns of a water line that might leak in the future, etc).

3. Flexible and Punctual: Leuri was on time, to the minute, that he said he would be there, and was very flexible with my schedule - even coming to do the layout on a Sunday afternoon! Not only that, but it is obvious that they pay attention to schedule and make it as efficient as possible - Leuri had suggested the work could be done a week ahead of schedule - when was the last time you had someone perform work done EARLIER than originally planned?

Post-Work: Over-all very happy with the results - one minor correction was needed, and Leuri came back the next day to solve it. Dimensions are exactly as we had requested, and after a few measurements I took, all the walls appear square, straight, and ready for drywall!

The only thing I can say is thank you for the hard work, and prompt service!

Framing large addition with interior bridge and 3 story great room and multi-level wraparound porch with built in deck.

If you are trying to decide on a framer for your job, look no further. Use Leuri!!! I never met or knew of him until my project. He is very professional and knowledgeable. My addition was as complicated as it gets and Leuri pulled it off without a hitch. He really knows his stuff and actually cares about the quality of workmanship. I highly recommend his crew. Jon

Framing Various Parts of House

Leuri to the rescue! After going through a horrible experience with our former contractor which we had to fire, we decided to be our own contractors. We thought the former contractor completed the demo in our house but to our surprise when Leuri arrived, it was clear the demo work was not completely done.

Leuri took the time to explain to us what he needed to demo in order for him to frame. His honesty and helpfulness even after the project was done renewed our faith in people in this line of work.

Upfront Leuri stated he was booked up to the second week in Nov but there were 2-3 rain days coming during the week that he could squeeze us in. We jumped on the opportunity and like he stated it was raining and he was ready to work.

His process the smooth and he was very clean even during the demo. I would recommend Leuri and his company. Absolutely love the results and now we can get on to our next project. If Leuri was a plumber or electrician, I would have of hired him like yesterday!!!

Thank you so much Leuri and Rebuild The Planet

New porch roof and framing

As there is not many workers like Leuri in the GTA i was afraid i was going to find some one who didn't know what they were doing.
But after speaking to Leuri i was happy i found him.
Even if i was a little far east of the Toronto he came to do the job, i had stucco work happening at the same time so it was important to communicate and coordinate with the stucco crew for this project.
But he did so perfectly. He took it upon him self to arrange the process. And was able to work in different stages based on our other projects. The other crew that was there watched Leuri work and their feedback was," this guy is good he is doing all the things the way they should precise measurements making sure its all level and done right" We also got great feedback from our neighbors saying what a great job he did.
And if something is wrong he stands by his work and comes out to either fix things if something was off or make sure your happy with the alternative. 10 out of 10 for sure!

Changed subflooring in living and dining rooms

What a great experience with Leuri and his team. They were very professional throughout the process from the initial meeting and then during the construction. Leuri and his team were punctual, considerate, efficient and very clean. They completed the job within the time indicated and took a lot of care during and after the job was completed. My husband and I were very impressed and appreciative. Thank you very much for all your hard work. We will definitely recommend you in the future. :0)

structural

We had a dip in our ceiling Larry came over reviewed the situation.
He spent a few hours trying to fix the problem but determined, that it was something structural that could not be repaired. He cleaned up after and left no mess. He was good enough to squeeze me in to his busy schedule. He also showed up on time with our set time.

Load bearing wall removal

As part of our kitchen renovations, we decided to remove the load bearing wall separating the kitchen and dining room. I found Rebuild The Planet via Homestars, and chose them over several other companies I had contacted.

As with any renovation project, a week prior to Leuri and team coming in, I opened up the wall to discover that there were water supply lines, drains and a HVAC line. I didn't know whether it was my responsibility to have these removed before Leuri came in. He reassured me that there was nothing to worry.

The job lasted 2 days, and I really didn't have to worry. There were a few hiccups, but Leuri took care of everything without breaking a sweat. Before we knew it, the wall was removed and the space completely redefined. City inspection passed with ease.

Him and his crew were extremely professional and courteous. The job site was cleaned meticulously.

As long as Leuri is in business, I will continue to use his services exclusively for any structural/framing projects that I have.

Thank you Leuri and team, for guiding us effortlessly through one of the more critical phases of our large renovation. It has been a complete pleasure working with you.

Door Frame Fixed!

After consulting a number of "handymen" about our warped front door, we had been told that the only fix was to remove the entire oversized door frame and rebuild from scratch. This would have been very invasive and costly.

Fortunately we were referred to Rebuild The Planet. Leuri quickly diagnosed the problem and had the door fixed within minutes. He is punctual, professional, solution-oriented, and, most importantly, an all-around good person.

Thanks Leuri! We will continue to use your services and strongly recommend him to friends and family.

Basement Framing

Had Leuri come by to price out a framing our basement. Great guy, friendly, knowledgeable, had some good suggestions to make the basement space as efficient as possible and his quote was right in line with what we could afford. Leuri and his crew were on time every day, worked hard and the end result turned out great. We dont need to look any further for a reliable carpenter in the city. Cheers Leuri.
