Finding a reliable contractor can be a nightmare. You never know what you will get. I’ve had one forgettable experience on homestars but decided to try again.
I chose DB taping based on the reviews here and i can tell you that it was an A++ experience. I’m sceptical about online reviews but I am one hundred percent satisfied.
Ed was quickest to respond and was the most reasonable quote i received of three. Ed was done the job before one of the other contractors was even able to give me a quote.
My job was mudding and taping a small bathroom wall and ceiling and skim coating another previously poorly done ceiling.
Most importantly:
When he came by to assess the work i could tell knew what he was doing based on the things he pointed out and questions he asked.
He was very clean and organized. the whole work area was covered well to protect my home before starting; a big sign for me of professionalism.
He arrived when he said each day.
Drywall finishing/sanding can be very messy but dust was absolutely minimal to my surprise due to Ed having the right equipment.
I would a hundred percent use DB taping again. Ed was very respectful, hard working and knows what he is doing; a true professional.
Am i overdoing it? No! I’ve had several nightmare contractors in my home leaving more problems when they are finished, sloppy and with little regard for your home. You likely know what i’m talking about.
