Popcorn Ceiling Removal

Stucco Dr did not disappoint! They were always prompt, and communication and follow-up was excellent. Attention to detail and knowledge of their craft great. There was a small amount of water damage on the ceilings, and they repaired it for a nominal fee that was much less than the other companies quoted me. They all are so professional and prompt! I have a rental property that was pretty much destroyed by my previous tenants. It was a whole long debacle. I ended up having to evict them. Not worth getting into. Anyways, I lucked out on finding them after my sister hired last month to work on her ceilings. Tyler was able to come by and take a look at my bedrooms, living room, and kitchen. They gave me what I thought was a very fair price quote so I gave them the go ahead. After the team at Stucoo dr finished, it was rented within a few days! I even brought them on to do a few rooms in my own house and it turned out amazing as well! I hate to write a negative review because he seems like a really really nice guy. But I was not at all impressed. Not sure why they have such good reviews. No shows on 4 occasions (no call or text saying he was not going to show up). Would not respond to calls or texts. They got the popcorn off, but the plastering and painting stages were not well done at all. Seams are still very visible even after he came back to correct it a second time. Compound flaking off in one location. Ceiling very rough - blotches everywhere. They don’t use cross lighting to check their work. I am now going to skim the ceiling myself to smooth it out and repaint. Painting was also not well done. Wall/ceiling joint painting very uneven (they don’t use masking tape). They got ceiling paint and drywall compound on the wall so I had to sand and repaint the whole wall. They are not careful and left the work area very messy. You expect some dust in a job like this but my wife and I spent a full day cleaning chunks of drywall compound, dust and paint off our stairs, out of the cracks in our hardwood floors, railings, carpets, front door and outdoor walkway. They dumped a pile of drywall compound on our front lawn and left a roller there. After several attempts to get them to come back and finish the job (no shows) I gave up. These guys were considerably cheaper than the other quotes I got and I guess that’s why. It was frustrating as I paid him an extra $150 above his quote in good faith. The good: as I said he was nice guy, and he gave me a little bit of extra ceiling paint so I could do touch-ups. Maybe he was just going through a tough time unrelated to work, but I’d never refer him to anyone.

Tyler and his team did an amazing job removing the popcorn off my condo's ceiling. There were parts of the original ceiling that had popcorn, and some that did not (like over the kitchen), and you would never know there was a difference before. The entire ceiling is now smooth and flat. Tyler was also very responsive over email and text. Would highly recommend.

Tyler and team did an amazing job removing popcorn ceiling from our dining room! We ended up getting him to paint the room too since they did such a spotless job on painting the ceiling! They were a day late but still committed and got the job done in the 4 day timeframe. The ceiling looks impeccable and I've been raving about it to anyone that will listen! Very minimal dust. Recommend!

We purchased a new home and needed the stucco removed on the main floor before we moved in. We didn’t think we could find someone good with only days notice but Tyler was very responsive and was able to schedule us in. Even though the work began a day later than scheduled, he and his crew were able to work hard and completed the work on time as discussed. We are very happy with the results and plan on having the rest of the house done with Tyler & crew in the near future.

As first time homeowners updating a house that looked like it was stuck in 1993, we felt like we had a lot to learn, but I'm so glad we hired Tyler and his crew. They did an amazing job removing the popcorn ceiling of the house, and it now looks like it belongs in 2018. Tyler was always super responsive to my calls and texts with a million novice questions. They were very flexible when we had other workers in the house and when we decided to add on additional work to have our basement popcorn ceilings removed.
