Our 30+ year-old AC was disconnected in the spring of 2020 to make way for some outside work, and we decided to take our time researching companies for the new install. We found Forge Mechanical and Ed after cross-referencing our preferred AC brand's list of dealers with those same companies' ratings on Homestars, and it turned out to be the right move. Ed was happy to come out at 9 pm the same day we contacted him, and left a great impression with his willingness to explain about HVAC systems and answer all our questions. His quote was reasonable and we also ended up adding a Nest thermostat to the total. On the day of the install, he took care to protect our floors where he needed access inside, provided high-quality workmanship, cleaned up afterwards and walked us through the functionality of the new AC unit/thermostat. We're very satisfied with his work, and look forward to doing business again in the future!

This is our 4th time working with Ed! I first found him on Home Stars when we had an emergency with our furnace. Ed responded right away and helped us solve the issue at hand. His prices are fair and his knowledge and skill are superior.

Ed is the best. Honest, flexible, prompt, and most importantly, knows his stuff! I've had him to the house for Nest problems, furnace issues, and really strange erratic heating and cooling issues, and Ed gets to the bottom of them all! If I can avoid it, I'll never call another HVAC guy!

I hired this fellow ED to look at what appeared to be a dead Nest thermostat . After some very careful investigation he discovered it was not the thermostat rather the furnace door left ajar / a faulty switch . Problem SOLVED /Most impressive ...........Thanks again !!!

Our meter on a 60 year old multi-unit house sprung a leak. Gas company fixed and then found we had a small internal leak and shut us down at 11 pm. Ed came out at 7:30 am to figure it out. After hours of looking decided that refitting new and upgraded gas lines on the exterior wall was the fastest and probably the most practical solution. Job done and all is well.
