I called Maple Leaf Appliance Repair on a Sunday regarding my dryer. It was no longer getting hot. The person on the phone was very professional and he explained the company's protocol in regards servicing, and he scheduled me for an appointment for the very next day! My appointment window was between 12-2 and I was told that the technician would call when they were on the way. Not only did they call first, but they were punctual, polite, personable and professional. The pricing is clear; No hidden charges, they had the part to fix the dryer, which meant I didn't have to wait for a part to be ordered, they  took the time to wipe down the dryer and  they cleaned up after they were done. They even offered me tips on how to maintain the dryer in the future. I am definitely pleased with my experience.

Wow, what a terribly frustrating experience. We had a technician come to look at the fridge at our rental property (Tuesday) as the fridge was no longer getting cold (the freezer was still cold). He was booked at 10am and came and went from the property without contacting us. The tenants said he took apart the freezer (which we had informed them was working). When I contacted him (John) at around 4pm he immediately got defensive about not contacting us as he had not figured out the issue yet. He said he was looking into it further but never got back to us.
We called the office and they arrange for a different technician to come out the next day, they said John was not experienced with Frigidaire models, even though they were provided the details of the fridge prior to assigning him to our repair. None of the technician appear to actually work for Maple Leaf, I guess they are all contractors.
Wednesday the other technician came out to check the fridge, even though we asked to be kept in the loop this time, we heard nothing and had to ask our tenants to get a phone number that we could call to contact her. She gave us a quote to fix the fan motor. We asked if it could be fixed that day and she said she needed to check parts and would call back, which she did not. We called her back a few hours later and she said the part would be arriving Thursday and she would call me in the morning to confirm a new repair appointment.
Thursday morning we heard nothing so I reached out. She got back to us at 1pm and said the part was in and she cold come fix the fridge at 4pm. At 4:30pm the tenants let us know that she was not there yet so we called and text her. She did not respond. After some errands I called her back and she said that she had forgotten about the fridge. She apologized and said she would come today (Friday) at 10am.
I followed up and she is not there. She said she will be there within 1-1 1/2 hrs. Our tenants have had to arrange their schedules for essentially the full day Tuesday, a period Wednesday, Thursday evening (where she forgot to show up) and now she is late for the repair today.
We will have to do something to compensate our tenants for all the inconvenience this has caused them, with so many appointments (never on time), and a full business week with no fridge. Hopefully this is actually fixed or at this point we will just be buying a new fridge as I can't have them waiting any longer on this fix.
STRONGLY RECOMMEND USING ANOTHER COMPANY WHOM TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE TECHNICIANS THEY ARE USING.

Buyer beware! Before you hire anyone to fix something be sure to get it in writing that if they leave your appliance in worse condition than they found it they will pay to fix or replace it.
The website for Maple Leaf Appliance repair, indicates they are experts on Thermidor ovens. I asked for a repair man because my door latch was in the locked position. I needed it opened so that I could cook Christmas dinner for my family the next day without having to hold the lock open manually. When the Edmonton technician from Maple Leaf arrived the oven was still hot because we had just had it on for over a half an hour at 400°. It was working when he arrived and I said, "the most important thing today no matter what else happens is that this oven needs to be working when you leave because I needed to cook Christmas dinner for my family during this terrible COVID Christmas.
He fixed the lock within the first few minutes of the call. Then, I'm not sure why when he had already fixed the problem, he pulled the oven out of the wall and started working on it. The result, an hour or so later, was he triggered an error code we had never seen before and the oven would no longer work.
He called another technician on the phone from Vancouver, where Maple Leaf is head quartered. They couldn't get it to work again.
After about 45 minutes of trying, he gave up and announced that the oven was broken that it was too old to get a new control panel and I would have to replace the oven.
It was 5 PM on Christmas Eve and despite his assurance to me that the oven would still be working when he left, it was not. He said he would see whether he could find a control panel somewhere after the weekend when stores opened again and he left.
This ruined my family's Christmas. We couldn’t go anywhere else for dinner because of COVID-19 restrictions and had no way to cook all the food I had purchased.
After five days of waiting without an oven, the technician texted me two sentences saying he couldn’t find the control panel and there was nothing he could do.
I did not even get the courtesy of a phone call from him or from the company. I have called three times asking to speak to someone and sent a written message too. I told them I expected they would fix or replace the oven.
I never heard from them again. Their website guarantees satisfaction.

Our fridge stopped cooling and we didn't know why. Maple Leaf arrange for a service visit within 4 hours. Problem was quickly discovered and repaired. I was very impressed with how quickly Maple Leaf was able to arrange a visit and how efficiently the repair was completed. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and I appreciated the call from service technician beforehand, explaining what the problem was and what the cost would be.

Called them to say the buttons weren’t working. Tech came over. We helped them google the issue - board needs replacing. Of course it does.

$250 quote to install?

Regardless they made us pay a $120 service charge for a guy to come to our house. Have us google things we already knew.

I requested service to fix the broiler in my Electrolux oven and the ice and water dispenser on the LG fridge. I was charged $200 for the service call $100 per appliance. The technician was here for approximately 30 minutes and told me that it would be $650 to fix the relay board on the oven. And it would be $400 to fix the water input line on the refrigerator. When I asked him why so expensive for the refrigerator he told me that it was an LG part that cost $150. Although I knew the stove may be expensive to fix I did not expect over $1000 to have two items repaired. I decided not to go ahead with the service and see what I could do myself. I picked up the water input valve for the fridge for $49 (new and from a reputable supplier) and installed it in 10 minutes. My fridge is working fine now. I have not attempted the relay board on the oven yet but Am definitely going to try sourcing the product myself.
