Urban Studio

I recently hired Urban Studio to build an extension and an addition to my home in downtown Toronto. I have an old semi-bungalow that was too small for my family. My husband and I didn’t want to sell, because we wouldn’t be able to afford anything in our area, where we want to stay. We found Urban studio and about 3 other contractors, all which provided us with quotes. Urban Studio’s landed somewhere in the middle. We decided to move forward with them, because they were very professional, provided us with a very detailed quote and were willing to help us from start with the permits to the finished design. The whole process took a few months to complete, we were updated everyday on the progress and the work went as planned. We now have over 800 extra sqft in our house and couldn’t be happier that we stayed put. Thanks to the crew and everyone who worked on our project.

This past summer my wife Irene and I worked with Urban Studio Inc. to add an addition to our 18th century Leslieville home. My husband and I purchased a house this summer and wanted to do some renovations and upgrades throughout the house before moving into it. Going into this huge renovation project, I was anxious from the horror stories I had heard from friends and family about their past experiences. I had started my research looking up different companies and getting multiple estimates and came across Urban Studio Inc. and their online reviews were very good and their website was the most professional I had come across. The Project Manager, Yousef, visited us at our property and spent over 3 hours discussing all the details and taking mesurements in order to provide us with an estimate. It was only a matter of a few hours which then we received a detailed quote that not only had prices and the scope of work, but explained every stage of work in detail which had a positive impact from the beginning and made him stand out amongst other companies. After his second visit and finalizing some details we had then decided to sign the contract with Urban Studio Inc. for $168,000 to dig out almost the entire house and upgrade everything from bathrooms, kitchen, basement, new flooring throughout the space, all finished carpentry and painting the entire house. They finished the project even 10 days earlier than the original estimated time which I find very hard to believe. We are extremely happy with the end result and thinking to using their services for some exterior work in the spring. We are thankful for Yousef's help and input throughout the project and will gladly refer Urban Studio Inc. to friends and family.
