Four Seasons Tree Care, has been taking care of our trees for thirty years, and the service that this company has provided us has always been excellent. This time when I called the company we had an emergency, and they responded in less than 24 hours. Four Seasons Tree Care dealt with the problem appropriately, efficiently, and with the care that is a hallmark of their company. Four Seasons Tree Care is a family-run business and time and again they have proven themselves. We really cannot say enough about Ken, the owner, his son Shane, and their team. The quality of their work, their professionalism, and their attention to detail are top-notch. We, as proud homeowners, are discerning people in terms of whom we hire to work for us, and we highly recommend Four Seasons Tree Care.

We've been using Four Seasons Tree Care for over 25 years and we couldn't be happier. The service is great, and everyone is extremely knowledgable.

Outside of our annual tree care, we have worked with them numerous times to remove dead or damaged trees, and plant new trees. Their work has always exceeded our expectations, they take great care to leave the job site in pristine condition, and they are always available to answer any questions we may have.

Kevin and Kyle, Four Seasons Tree Care, were at our property yesterday to prune three mature birch trees. They did an outstanding job. They were courteous, attentive, meticulous and thorough. I love trees which is which is why I let a tree that self planted grow where it really shouldn’t have been. Too close to the house foundation and allowing access for all the cute critters to the roof. I loved to look out at the tree for all that is wonderful about trees, shade, privacy and a handy perch for birds. I finally had to realize that this tree despite all the positive aspects should have been removed years ago when I could have done it myself with simple garden tools but now we need to call in the professionals. After receiving off hand exorbitant quotes from several companies we contacted Four Seasons whom had done work on the surrounding large trees over the years. We thought the job was too small but their quote was the best and the recognized the issues before we even mentioned them. Shane met with us and provided a proper written quote within a reasonable time. The other company didn’t even bother showing up when they were scheduled. We’ll stick with local reputable businesses whose work we have seen first hand. So even if the job seems smaller contact Four Seasons because at least you know it will be done right and possibly for less than you thought. I also appreciate that they consider what is best for the tree not just the will of people. The job was too big for us and thought it was too small for them but we were pleasantly surprised and although it is sad it is a lesson to consider future implications and take care of issues when they are small and can be more easily managed.

I agree with the reviewer that said this company is difficult to deal with. They are knowledgeable, yes, there is no doubt about it, but pride and some amount of rudeness does not let them be the ones they claim to be. I went with them for a big tree treatment against spruce adelgids because there are not many companies out there to do it. They did the first application in the spring and were supposed to come by the end of September beginning of October for a second round of horticultural oil spray. They did not show up and I though that they forgot and will not do it, only to have a big surprise visit on November 1st , just a few days before a massive freeze. Way too late! In the fall, the immature female adelgid, small, globular, and wingless (1.2-1.7 mm), finds a spruce on which to overwinter. If the treatment is done too late, in particular that in Canada the poisonous treatment is not available and only the horticultural oil is allowed, timing is crucial.
On horticultural sites it is clearly stated that horticultural oil or insecticidal soap must be used in late July to mid-August after galls have opened, but before adelgids can move to alternate hosts.

In short I am disappointed by the service I received: one month too late and an unannounced visit that caused that many of our belongings to be tainted by the oil.

In spring I also asked for a quote for some pruning for several trees on the property, but I could not afford it. Their quote was almost twice as high as the nearest competitor.

We needed 2 trees pruned by our backyard pool. A very tall locust, and a crab tree. Office staff were very pleasant, and Lina provided us with a very reasonable and competitive estimate. Paul and Mat did an excellent job in assessing and removing 2 damaged limbs on the locust, and re-shaping the crab. Clean up was great, and we are very pleased with the results. Excellent job !

TO FOUR SEASONS TREE CARE ‘THE TREE DOCTORS’

We have been using the services of Four Seasons Tree Care to diagnose, treat, prune and maintain the trees on our property for the past 25 years. We have come to depend on them for superior service from all staff - from the highly skilled arborists who complete assessments and proposals, to the treatment specialists, and the professional and courteous office administration.

When we recently required four large, mature trees be removed from the property, we were reluctant to destroy our investment of time, money and years of growth, but were confident that the work would be done with precision and excellence. From the beginning of the process to obtain permits for the removal, we received excellent guidance and advice from Ken and Linda.

Sharon, Janice and Vivian always responded to our telephone calls and email queries promptly and professionally. Although Brennan was not directly involved in this project, he has been our regular application specialist for some time. We appreciate and would not want to overlook the excellent work he has always performed.

On the day that the work was completed, Shane and Elliott completed the team. They arrived early, introduced themselves, were professional and respectful, insured that copies of permits were in hand before the removal began, and executed the job skillfully and efficiently. When the stump grinding was completed and debris cleaned up, the property was left in immaculate condition. We were very pleased with the work performed and their attention to detail.
