New Depths Underpinning is an outstanding group and one I am so happy I had connected to my project in Bloor West Village. Mark is incredibly helpful and in ways that extend well beyond the scope of his project. He made things so easy for me. He’s fully communicative and in one fashion or another goes completely above and beyond in every single interaction with him. His crew is no less awesome; courteous, keep the site clean, and are respectful and thoughtful when imposing on and interacting with the neighbors. The project was done beautifully. On time. On budget. Completely professional. It is a big project but honestly, New Depths is a low-risk decision for anyone considering who to run their underpinning job. In your case we discovered and managed sandy loose soil, an old flagstone foundation, and an unknown to you - a prior handyman's unprofessional attempt to lower your basement floor with a "bandaid-like" micro concrete bench around the interior footing perimeter.
Your idea to excavate your front crawl space was brilliant. All of your mechanicals, laundry, and storage are now grouped neatly together leaving an absolutely huge basement recreation room. The extra tall ceilings and nearly 20ftxW8 span beam installation really make it a generous space. Can't wait to see the finished product and hear about how much enjoyment the family is getting from it!
