Joe was a very organized person to handle this project. My wife and i all satisfied with his work stytle and job. Once we accept his offer, He start his work on schedule.He leave the job very organized everyday. We all respect what he did with our flooring works. Our wood floor looks like brand new. Amazing work by Joseph! He was responsive right from the start when I needed to get the estimate. He's clearly customer focused as he got back to me within a day, and came to see the project unlike others who either gave me a quote without seeing the floors or just priced out the project based on pictures. He made it clear what he could do and when and his pricing was very reasonable. He started work on time (every day), did exactly what he promised to do (and even some extra when asked) and would constantly check-in with me at critical stages to make sure I was happy with progress. He left the worksite clean every day, and on wrapping up the work, again cleaned up perfectly. To say that I'm happy with his work would be an understatement - so much so that we're already exploring another project involving a refinishing of my stairs and I'm sure that too will go just as well as this one - looking forward to working with Joseph again!

The work was done quickly. The floor looked great when finished. The quarter round had to be removed and was broken or damaged in several places. Kick plates were scored. The workmanship on the reinstalled quarter round was sloppy. When I asked by e-mail for the name of the product used on the floor, I did not receive a reply.

Joseph did a great job refinishing our entire first floor and stairs. We are very happy with the results and it looks like we have new floors! He completed the job on time, kept the worksite very clean, and was very helpful choosing the right colour doing many samples for us. We highly recommend him for your project.

Jozsef refinished the maple hardwood floors throughout our main floor, as well as our oak stairs. He takes such pride in his work and the finished result was beyond impressive.

It’s clear that Jozsef loves what he does, and it shines through in his craftsmanship. We had multiple contractors tell us to replace our maple floors with brand new flooring, but Jozsef made us realize that refinishing them was the way to go.

He left our home immaculate every evening, which made it easy for us to live through the reno.

We changed the colour of our floors through the process, and Jozsef tested out many samples (including mixing stains) directly on our floor until we found the one we wanted (mix of 2 parts classic grey & 1 part Jacobean).

Overall, we were thrilled with the work Jozsef did and would highly recommend him.

This company is absolutely excellent at what they do they replaced the existing steps and matched the stain color exactly too our existing floor. The installation was performed with no problem no dust or anything else and a great clean up. I would recommend them to anyone price was right and the installation was performed on time.

Josef is an artist... he evaluates the floors you have, and sees what they could become. And while he offered many options of tints and finishes, I told him to do whatever he thought would work best for my 135 year old house. I had seen the photos of his work and knew he would create something beautiful.

He did that, and more. The old pine floors now have sumptuous luster. They reflect sunlight and are a perfect balance of rustic and polished. I think that Josef sees the potential in things that others might think are old and easily replaceable. He has an artist's soul and a craftsmanship skill.

I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Joseph was very thorough and exceptionally clean. He did a brilliant job. Our floors look like they are new. We are really pleased with his work. So much so that we are having him come back to redo our stairs.

József's work was impeccable. He is knowledgeable and professional and a true craftsman. I am beyond thrilled by the work that was done. We were told by many contractors that our floors were beyond fixing or that extensive board replacements would be needed. József told us that he could refinish the floors without issue and his quote was incredibly reasonable.

He answered all of our questions, gave us multiple options and worked with our tight timeline (even finishing slightly ahead of schedule).

We are THRILLED with our floors. They are exactly what we envisioned and they preserved the history of a 100 year old house. I would not hesitate to work with Standard Home Hardwood Flooring again.

Honestly, this review really doesn't do justice to what a great experience we had. We will be recommending their services to anyone who needs their floors re-done.
