Before moving into our home, we wanted our entire house painted (2200 square feet, excluding basement). After reading many HomeStars reviews, I had sent out request for quotes to a few painters. Alex was the first to respond with a very competitive quote. He was very prompt in responding to my questions and made communication very easy. I hired Emerald Painting Service because Alex was able to work with my schedule and the positive reviews that mentioned his quality of his work. Once I accepted his quote, we did an onsite visit to review the job in detail and get a better idea of pricing.
Our job involved painting walls, trims, doors, ceilings and exterior doors plus garage floor. Alex used a paint sprayer for the doors, trims and ceilings and this produced a beautiful finish. Our job also involved removing wallpaper, patching up a lot of nail holes (from the previous owner), patching up areas after our flooring renovation and taking down lots of shelving. As the project progressed, I would notice additional areas I wanted painted and Alex was very open and accommodating. The previous homeowner had used a lot of darker colours which was contrast to my palette of whites and light greys. Some of the rooms required 3 coats!
Alex did an amazing job and I was very impressed with his attention to detail. He definitely exceeded my expectations! I would definitely use Emerald Painting Service again and would highly recommend their services.

We were very happy with Alex’s work! He painted our semi-detached home - 3 bed, 3 bath, living room, dining room and kitchen. His company completed the job in 5 days and the end result was fantastic! They patched up all the nail holes, and larger holes in the walls that the previous owner had made when installing a TV mount. The ceilings, inside of the closets, doors, and trims (windows and baseboards) were painted beautifully!!! We would not hesitate to use his company again in future. We called Alex and he came by on the Good Friday. Was very professional. Did a walk around the house and pointed out areas that need fixing (nail pops, cracks, holes). He said he will fix everything before painting. Provided us with a quote with and without paint. Also suggested a paint colour which we ended up going with. He estimated 2 days to paint. We scheduled a date 2 weeks later. Alex called a few days before and said he can come in a day earlier. Alex came in as scheduled and completed the job I 2 days. He had to paint main floor, living room above garage, upstairs hallway and all doors and trim. We were very pleased with his work and would highly recommend him.
