Our suite in a large (190 unit) building was badly flooded in January, 2023, then again in mid-February, requiring all new drywall, painting, flooring and cabinetry.
We understand that the building had a rash of floods (probably in 60+ suites) from January 1 to March 31, creating a very complex challenge for Rainbow in being the designated first responders, working with about 4 levels of insurers, sorting through the individual issues of suite owner/occupant requirements, documenting damage for the insurance and legal claims, organizing a massive restoration program, coordinating with many different trades and suppliers, then prioritizing and managing all the restoration work.
Given this, my 80-year-old wife and I were so pleased and grateful for the excellent work in each phase that Rainbow did. The initial response was really fast, and the Rainbow team were quick in deploying their recovery program. The team's care and compassionate attention to our plight was remarkable. Once they got approval to start the restoration work, Rainbow's responsive, cooperative and pleasant planning and coordination efforts with everyone involved moved the work ahead promptly.
Our suite's total restoration was completed by the agreed time, the work was of a professional, high quality, and the suite was turned back to us clean and tidy.

Communication is excellent and prompt. I was out of the country and the crew kept me updated throughout the process. Even after the work was done they were quick to respond to any questions and touch-ups (there werent many). Most of all, they worked with my insurance provider smoothly, to a point where i had limited involvement. Thank you for everything. Highly recommended.

We had some water damage on our ceiling. On the phone, David explained it was minor damage and unlikely to get worse soon. He visited within a couple of days, inspected our attic and gave us the peace of mind that there was no obvious cause. He clearly explained how to fix the minor damage ourselves at little cost and what the next step will be if the damage returns or gets worse. Thank you David for the excellent customer service!

Had some water damage and minor mold, the company replaced the carpet, adding wood flooring and repainted the wall. They had everything under control from start to finish and I didnt need to worry about anything. The pace was very fast and efficient, and the workers were also super kind!

During a water leak event into our home, we were fortunate to have Andre and team determine the extent of the interior damage and help define the overall problem we had resulting from heavy rains in June. R1 was quick to remove wet materials, set up drying equipment and protect other items in the basement. Cleanup was excellent as was promptness to provide service a second time. In August, after house repair issues were addressed, R1 had Gustavo and Alex come to our home to do the restoration of the basement wall and ceiling. Their work was nothing short of excellent from drywalling, painting, installing trim, ceiling repainting and re-installation of flooring. Clean up was top notch as well. "Gus" and Alex were true gentlemen, and worked with an efficiency that certainly is not rivaled. All in all, R1 Calgary helped us in times of immediate crisis and then closed the project with excellent restoration. They came quickly. They explained in detail all the costs. They worked well and efficiently. I would use them again. They made sure that I looked everything over and was satisfied with their work. They were kind and respectful.

I called David and his team to help with remediation and repair of a flooded rental property. David was extremely helpful in walking me through the insurance claim process, including suggestions for a plumber to come and assess the damage so that all the necessary information is provided to make the insurance claim process as smooth as possible. David was prompt in sending out a crew to begin the remediation, and his communication of the scheduled timing was always accurate. Restoration 1's crews worked quickly and respectfully and even finished the job early by staying late. I am extremely pleased with the exceptional customer service, reasonable pricing, and most importantly, getting the rental property back to normal as soon as possible. I would definitely recommend Restoration 1 to others.

We have a 3' dining extension and I found a pile of "dirt" in the corner one morning. Upon investigation this dirt was moving so I called my pest control man. On examination he was able to pull the baseboard off and the dry wall disintegrated. We had a hidden slow leak showing black mould on all of the beams. I interviewed three restoration companies and chose Restoration 1. The extent of the damage was worse than we thought. The whole extension had to be rebuilt, including new skylights and flooring. The contractors were so Professional, expert, wise team members and went above and beyond to make sure we received the best service possible and were are thrilled with the final result. Val

We discovered a leaking pipe only because the carpet beside our gas fireplace was damp in an inconspicuous spot. After hiring a plumber, he determined the only way to access the pipe near the foundation wall was to cut the drywall, and remove the fireplace (along with the stone facade) to do the repair work. I initially contacted several restoration companies, including Restoration 1. They were quickest to respond and have a team assess the situation. As stressful as the project was, they put me at ease during the entire process. There were so many trades involved, and the project manager handled everything so well, including the navigation and communication with our insurance company.
Overall I would recommend Restoration 1 to anybody who requires emergency work or any other project.
