Downtown Toronto: Very fast response, showed up within a couple of hours, gave heads up when on way, easy to communicate with main office, gave free quote. Benjamin was very professional, knowledgeable clean, excellent equipment, cleaned as he went, great communication, fast, explained what he would do, and got it done.
I don't do a lot of calls for plumbing and was surprised at the price. I was reassured that it was the industry standard and I looked at a few online sources and that seemed to be true. I was given a $25 off first time customer discount and lifetime membership with lower prices which I appreciated. However when I look up average salary for a plumber in toronto this year it's $37.12, travel of 80min to office and back and 45min for work, including all interactions it comes out to $289 overhead for $84 in labour/travel. It appears that's the industry standard for a high quality service company. I gave a 4/5 rating for recommending this company mostly for this reason and my preference for something that is a little more small business or leaner business model but I haven't had the time to find. Otherwise if you are happy to pay extra for fast and excellent service experience I highly recommend them! Given all of that and loyalty rewards they provide I am likely to use them again!

While we understand that the cost of plumbing is expensive, we can assure you that our prices are in line with the current industry standards and other reputable premium plumbing companies of a similar caliber to Drain King. As well, it appears you were able to confirm that our prices are in line with industry standards through your research. There is always going to be someone who is more or less expensive, but we cannot be compared to a handy person or one-man show who does not offer warranties and is less reputable. Furthermore, it is important to note that higher prices are not specific to our company or the plumbing industry as everything in the world today has increased and is much more expensive than a few years ago.

We can appreciate your research and breakdown of the costs as well, however, our prices are not hourly and our technicians are not paid on an hourly basis either. This means that regardless of the time it took the technician to commute and complete the work, you would be charged the same price for the same work. We find that this method of pricing is much more preferred by our customers compared to hourly charges to avoid unnecessary costs if the work takes longer than initially expected. We hope this clarifies things better for you and that you can understand our perspective and reasoning for standing by our pricing. If we were overcharging our customers, we would not be in business and we definitely would not be as reputable as we are today.

Burping toilet was as a result of a clogged sewer line. A camera inspection was done and blockage was shown and broken apart with the camera.

Quick Response and Job Complete

I delayed my review to see if I would receive further follow up.
Very quick response and job was complete so no issue with quality of work however disappointed in the "debris" left for me to clean up. Bits of solder and pieces of the ceiling left on floor, wall and furniture as well deck outside left with burn marks. I did contact via email and received an apology but no follow up after I sent pictures of deck as per their request.
