I experienced many years of problems with a wet basement. I bought the house 10 years ago and within my 1st year I had problems with water coming into my basement. I had it “fixed” twice before I met Dom and his group of professionals. I felt I had been taken by other “professionals” that claimed they would fix the problem. But that wasn’t they way it worked out. After many quotes and interviews with contractors, I was lucky to find Dominic. I instantly felt comfortable with him. I felt he listened, heard my concerns and worked to make sure I felt comfortable and got to the root of the problem. I am happy to say that I have been water free for the last 3 years. When the unfinished, damp basement in my 90 year old Toronto home developed serious water issues (including water coming up through the thin concrete floor), I was faced with the challenge of finding a solution before the situation became worse. I contacted a number of companies to assess the situation and listened to what each had to suggest re: what needed to be done and the associated costs. Right from the initial meeting, I was impressed with how knowledgeable and helpful Dominic (owner) was. He offered clear options and discussed the pros and cons of several solutions. After careful consideration, I chose to work with Stay Dry Waterproofing and I was not disappointed. During the work (which included underpinning, benching, sump pump and backwater valve installation, as well as pouring a new concrete floor and new walkout steps), he was readily available to address questions/concerns and on site to oversee all key stages of the job. Since the work to rectify my water issues and improve the structure of my basement were completed I have had no issues and am very pleased with the results.
