Ideal Fence

Update: After a number of calls that were not returned, the quality manager showed up for the 2nd time, agreed on a resolution, but changed their mind. Since they took my money without approval from my credit card I have little recourse. Customer Service is appalling Do not give your credit card for staged payments.

Very quick to take money, slow to deliver. Contracted in September but they delayed until April the following year. Fence was installed and it left huge gaps under the fence, requires a filler piece at the end, and garbage needed to be pick up. which their quality service person agreed. A month later nothing was done. I called and calls were not returned. You can only speak to admin staff. The company took the last payment without my approval and the work is still not done!

Full of excuses.

Although the fence is well installed, the gate needs to be adjusted. Needed an addition to my existing fence. Received a quote. Was told they would come in 2 weeks. Never came. Called approx. 4 times and they never came. Called again this week and was told that the owner would be advised but still no call. We were 5 neighbours getting our fence installed at the time. Service came fast enough but afterwards.nothing.

We hired Ideal Fence to build a new fence around our backyard. Pierre was helpful and very direct about what would work for us and what it would cost. Their crews worked very efficiently and had the fence installed in a weeks time this spring (one day for post installation and fence construction a week later) We were very happy with the final product.

Quality installation, fair price, and fast turnaround once materials were in.

We would have liked more frequent updates on the status of the installation date though. We had to follow up a few times to ensure we weren't forgotten. We recognize that it's during a pandemic, but even a small update every two weeks would have been appreciated.

Still would recommend them wholeheartedly!

From the time we met Randy for a quote (best one out of 5 local companies) to the end when the crews finished up. We took on this project on our own and are amazed at the results. Our neighbors have been expressing to us about the workmanship carried out in this installation. First we had the post installers come in then Rock and his group finished off. We had 17 x 8 ft sections installed and a gate. It looks great. Will definitely be recommending Ideal fence to friends and co-workers.

From the time they took during the sales process to the three phases of install (because of our complex excavation schedule), Rene and his team were great.

We selected a beautiful vinyl fence with a custom wrought iron section. The one corner of our property needed to come up and the team worked with our other team to ensure the fence height was level.

We have one gate latch that needs some adjustment however I am sure when I reach out, this will be done promptly.

Looking forward to enjoying our enclosed fence for years to come.

We are extremely satisfied wth the service and final product provided by Ideal Fence. From start to finish, they kept us informed. I would use again, and definitely recommend.

Salesperson (Francis) was great and worked with us to find a good product, the estimate was accurate and timelines to start/finish the project were respected. Final product looks good and is what we asked for, but unfortunately came with multiple frustrations.
- When they first started the work, they showed up with a poor hand drawn “plan” although my landscaper gave them a detailed plan.
- The wrong chainlink was ordered and installed (was only spotted by City Inspector), not the install staff.
- Grey brackets were installed (in certain spots) on a black fence and spray painted
- Fence was initially installed way too low in some areas, not allowing for freezing/movement
- Gate initially installed too low, not allowing full opening
- Impossible to reach the owner after leaving messages by both myself and my landscaper on multiple occasions
- Asked for faulty gate lock to be changed, was WD-40’d only, still causing issues today

Hopefully they will improve by having a knowledgeable person on site to make sure things are done right the first time.
