We wanted to remodel the existing basement of our house, It was required a new steel beam to remove the existing post at middle of the basement and remodel the existing bar including g whole basement at 125 Arnotte Drive. The column and the wall at existing basement were a load bearing wall and we had a very limited time and budget for this repair. Upon contact with him that found via Homestars he was visited our house. He provided all the professional and technical info during the initial visit, and it was completed after preparing the required Architectural and Structural drawings based on OBC codes.
During the renovation, he was available with his professional team to follow the drawings. Based on the project progress in case of need for any minor changes, his response was on time and on point to address the requirements of us or address the unseen the condition that was discover during the renovation.
In addition, during the work, based on our complain about some noises, he inspected and check the integrity of the house and discovered some other structural points that were the cause of the noises. He supported us to have a safe house.

We wanted to extend the doorway of our 1950s bungalow kitchen to create an open concept area. We weren't sure if we could do it since the interior walls were load bearing and we had a very limited budget. We went through Homestars and found Farid. After the initial message sent through Homestars, we were able to quickly set up an appointment in the midst of a pandemic. During his visit, he was very professional and told us what we could get done within our budget.

He was then able to quickly do the drawings within 4 days for us. During the renovation, we had to make some minor changes, especially as issues came up, and he was always available to speak with us and the contractor even during his out-of-country vacation. We were able to communicate through Whatsapp text messages and video calls during his vacation. He was also able to visit to see the final product.

Overall, we are very happy with Farid for his professionalism, knowledge, and guidance. He really cares about his customers and is genuinely a great person.
