Prompt response during crushing July heatwave. Next day installation of top brand by very experienced crew followed by thorough cleanup and disposal of old unit. Very pleased.

One of the best crews Ive seen. They were quick, clean and super efficient. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a heat pump installed.

I contacted Patrick for a quote and was pleased that an install could be done within 2 weeks. The company was good about answering my questions and concerns in advance. The price was comparable to other companies. The installers Ahmad and Khalil were very respectful and professional. Install only took 2 1/2 hrs.
My only complaint is the lack of cleanup. There was a bit of a mess in the basement and 3rd fl. which I had to vacuume.
I am happy with the new unit and would recommend working with The Boiler Shoppe.

I replaced an old ductless unit with a 'Mr Slim' for my upstairs bedrooms and increased the efficiency of cooling for my home by adding a 'Mr Slim' on the main floor.

Moved into an old house last winter. Ongoing very slight smell of natural gas. Long story short, Enbridge found no leak in the line and concluded there was a slight leak in the boiler somewhere. Boiler was old and run down and needed replacing. Had a few companies in to assess the situation and recommend solutions. All three companies recommended the same type of combination boiler. The Boiler Shoppe and another company's price were both competitive, but the Boiler Shoppe's was a bit better and their explanation of what would be done was more thorough. The third company's quote was double that of the others. It was the first company we had received a quote from. I sure am glad we kept looking and found the Boiler Shoppe. Saved a load of money for the exact same system and their installation was done on time and everything is working properly. No more smell of gas, the house is heating fine and the hot water is working great too. Everybody was professional and friendly. They did a great job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

In early December we discovered that our existing 30 year old boiler needed repairs. We reached out to Ricardo and his team and on inspection they advised that the most cost efficient approach was to replace the boiler. With cold weather coming they moved quickly and by Dec 15th they had completed installing a state of the art Viessmann high efficiency Condensing Boiler. The installation was done with minimal disruption and included professional repair of the dry wall cuts required to run the new intake and exhaust vents.

The Viessmann boiler was a great choice. The system allows us to configure the boiler temperatures and ramping to the specific needs of our house, a huge boon as our house still has the original cast iron radiators and pipes, and which used to make loud banging noises as they expanded when the old boiler came on. The new configured system is silent and we no longer have to worry about accidently touching the over hot radiators.

Terrible experience with this company- I was assured I was dealing with ‘engineers not salesmen’, but the wiring was not even done to code and we had countless issues along the way. The worst part is, we even found in the installation manual that they sent us, that the wiring used was improper and they must have just hoped we wouldn’t noticed. Furthermore, no outdoor casing was used on any of the outdoor wiring, the unit was off-level, etc. All that being said, they did fix the initial issues once we had an electrical inspector come by to affirm the work was not to code. Though it does concern me- how many homes have they wired with the wrong size of wiring?

I wouldn’t have written a bad review if the story ended there. Our heat pumps started making terrible noises soon after installation- we called the boiler Shoppe to send someone to check on the problem. The technician simply turned our heat pumps to fan mode and said it was fixed- as soon as we started using heat & AC again it came back. Not only that, the engineers recommended we install the unit right above our bed, because these machines are supposed to be so quiet. I’ve been chasing them to come fix the issue and they eventually went completely unresponsive after not showing up one day.

This company charged more than the average installer but I thought they would show better quality work. Not recommended.

Boiler Replacement
 
Our old Boiler was giving us troubles in the last two years, after spending unneeded money on repairs, we contacted The Boiler Shoppe and their service was outstanding since the first time, they came out to our home, inspected the failing system, and very succinctly explained the different options and their costs available to us for replacement. They made their recommendation, after some deliberation, we decided to follow his advice, and the team came and installed the new system. We are very happy, and I absolutely would recommend The Boiler Shoppe to anyone.
