Steve answered our request promptly and provided us with a quote in a few days. The crew showed up exactly when they said they would. They clearly knew what they were doing - time management and efficacy were obvious. After removing the specified limbs and pruning the tree overall they cleared up and cleaned up and left the area spotless. Their quote was more than a hundred dollars less than we had received elsewhere. We will definitely call them the next time we have such a need.

I had 2 very large maple trees one in the front and one in the back that were in need of pruning. The job was done extremely well. I was given an explantion as to what they could do and they went above and beyond what I was expecting. They left my property very clean and tidy and you could not tell that I had trees pruned. I would use McDonald forestry again and would recommdend them.

I needed 13 cubic yards of mulch for a tree protection zone and Steve delivered it to my home for free. Most companies will not charge for this, but steve was the only one who provided it when I needed or was at least able to tell when it would be delivered. All the others said they would let me know when they were in my area, which is not very helpful when you are trying to organise a projetc. If this is an indication of the sevice I would get when McDonald is not making any money, I can only imagine they are top notch when it comes to a paying job. After getting several estimates from many tree service companies, I finally decided to go with McDonald Tree services based on their reviews on Homestars and was glad I did. My cedar hedges were quite long, tall and deep and were not maintained by the previous owner, so they were overgrown in many places and needed to be trimmed badly. Steve gave a reasonable quote and got the job done in 2 days...on his own! (Though he had a couple of guys on the first day for clean up) He was quite knowledgable and gave me some cost cutting ideas on how to care for the hedges. He not only cleaned up the trimmings that were left over, he also cleaned my driveway from the debris that fell from my silver maples. The only small issue was trying to get a hold of Steve to confirm times (because they're so busy), but it was no big deal as he was able to call me back. My wife and I are satisfied with his work and would use his services again. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend McDonald Tree Services.

We had 5 cedar trees removed. McDonald Forestry came and removed them quickly and cleanly. None of my plants around the area were damaged and they actually left my yard cleaner than it was before they arrived. My initial request was answered promptly and politely. The workers were extremely respectful and polite. Excellent service like this is very hard to find, this company is a gem.

We had a tall pine tree in the front of the house that was looking dead and an large apple tree in the back yard that makes a mess of our yard and the neighbour's yard every summer.

Steve determined that it was best to remove the pine tree and agreed to remove the apple branches that were crossing the fence and also thin out the rest of the tree. His quote was reasonable compared to the other ones we got.

Steve and Mark were friendly and worked quickly. They did everything that was promised and were very thorough when cleaning up the site. They even swept the debris from the street that was under their truck.

The stump for the pine tree is at grade. We expected it to be a little above ground, but they were able to cut it even lower. This is great.

The apple tree looks great now and we're looking forward enjoying our yard more this summer. We will happily recommend Steve to our family and friends and he will be the only person we call the next time we need work done on a tree.

With summer fast approaching,I recently had a large over grown maple tree cut back by McDonald Forestry, I was very pleased by their professionalism and speed. We were also touched by there kindness for nature, while they were here my children had found a baby robin that had fallen out of a near by tree and they kindly put it back in the nest making my children very happy. I would highly recommend McDonald Forestry to anyone that needed their services and would definitely use them again if needed.

I had a tree at a rental property that was a nuisance to not only my neighbours, but to the people that reside there as well. It was an over grown, poorly maintained tree that produced a mass amount of Berry's that dropped on the next doors roof and on the ground where people BBQ. When I contacted Steve, he was happy to help and was quite prompt. He treated the neighbours with respect and most of all, was very tidy and clean. I've had some bad experiences with contractors in the past but I would be happy to refer Steve and Mcdonald Forestry.

Tree pruning, set a date, showed up in the rain and did a fantastic job with the clean-up. Even my neighbours were thrilled! We had a Manitoba Maple and it covered our entire yard - no sunlight in the backyard. I called, they came and did such a great job.
