When I was first getting estimates for electrical for my house (~ 3000SF with basement included), I was using a GC. The price was wildly outside my expectations and budget (roughly 40k after 20% GC fees).

I knew I had to contract out the electrical myself and Evolve Electrical Services--Eugene in particular--was not only the fastest company to respond but also asked the most questions and prepared the quote fastest. Not only that, but he provided the most reasonable quote, which was less than half of my original quote! Relying on Homestars reviews as well, I had a good feeling about relying on Evolve Electrical Services.

Eugene was efficient, enthusiastic, and knew what he was doing to get my 100 year old home completely rewired and upgraded to 200amp service. As often happens with major renovation projects, we ran into some snags regarding logistics as I was juggling other trades along with the disaster that was the pandemic, but Eugene was always accomodating, responsive, and went the extra mile to make sure things were done right, to code, with quality products and all the permits and lisences required.

Wouldn't hesitate to use his company's services again, and in fact plan to, as I need a bunch of light fixtures installed in a few weeks. :P

My experience dealing with Evolve Electrical from start to finish was superb. I wanted to consolidate the mess of an old fuse box with two sub-panels into one new box with upgraded service from 100 amp to 200 amp and have the option to put in an electrical vehicle charger at a later date. I called several companies after looking for electricians on homestars.

Eugene provided a fast and very competitive quote. Referred me to his Instagram page displaying his past work. I was impressed by the pride he takes in his completed work and liked his quote so I hired Evolve. He started the process for me with Toronto Hydro and arranged the date for service to be completed.

On the date of service Eugene and his apprentice Jay arrived early and communicated their arrival time. Given that I have been working from home and with no access to power that day, I took the day off to watch and learn while these guys worked. Basically I was the annoying home owner hovering at all times asking questions and double checking everything. But they embraced it. They worked fast, hard and had the patience to walk me through each step of what they were doing. We had a few laughs through out the day. I also had them install a new outlet in the garage and replace my outdoor outlets as they were nearly fried. They also did a bit of work indoors for me. They completed the job on time and Toronto hydro and ESA inspected and approved their work with no issues. They cleaned up afterwards.

It was a true pleasure to have Evolve work at my house. The difference that you get with Evolve is that they care about the work they do and the service they provide. Even after completion date I annoyingly had follow up questions about the work. Eugene took the time to answer in detail.

I will recommend Evolve to my family and friends will be a repeat customer in the future.

Evolve Electrical was excellent to work with. The installation of pot lights, fixtures & electrical upgrades throughout my whole house was seamless and I am very happy with the result.
