We have contacted the company when our fridge (2018 Samsung) stopped cooling. Alona replied promptly and scheduled an appointment with Jerry. He tested the fridge, told us that the compressor was working, and the problem might be the inverter board. A week later he came with a new inverter board, but the fridge was still not working. He opined that the fridge needed a new main board. Given that Jerry didn't seem sure of the diagnostic, we called a technician from a different company. The second technician then determined (in less than 15min) that the issue was the evaporator. The part was replaced, and the fridge is now working. The mis-diagnostic delayed the repair by 2 weeks.
Goldstar invoice was issued with incorrect information under the "Service Call" narrative (we have advised them that boards were not the issue) and the wrong due dates (Invoice Date: June 21, Due Date: June 14). The invoice had with no information on how to pay it and no disclaimer that the company surcharges for credit card payments. In addition, we were told that invoice was to be sent for collection if not paid by July 6,2023. Less than stellar service. Will not recommend.
