We had a significant mold problem throughout our basement, to the point that the finished basement had to be completely ripped out. At the beginning of the project, we also discovered that asbestos had been falling in from an upper wall, and would need to be cleaned. Despite this, Restoranation completed the project, including the unforeseen asbestos cleanup, on time (in just one week).

I was especially happy with the communication from both Alex and Charles. They always told me what I needed to hear, even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. Because of the asbestos, there were additional costs that weren't covered by the original estimate. These were always communicated clearly ahead of time. Aside from the asbestos there were no surprise costs.

If the "surprise asbestos" aspect of this story is setting off alarm bells, I can tell you that it was verified by an independent lab, and our house is over 100 years old, so of course it has asbestos in the walls. Two other contractors who assessed the mold problem also missed the presence of asbestos, which Charles at Restoranation spotted immediately when he arrived to start work. I was suspicious at first, but I'm now grateful to Charles for spotting the issue and rectifying without extending the length of the job.

My family and I can now literally breathe easy knowing that our house is safe.
