We used Magnolia for a primary suite renovation and overall we are very pleased with the work. The quality of craftsmanship is excellent and Joey and his team were easy to work with. They took the space down to the studs and rebuilt it in an entirely different layout. It was a large project so there were some hiccups (which is to be expected with an old house) and we lost our project manager part way through, but we had established a good relationship with the rest of the Magnolia team so we were able to manage with minimal disruption. Communication was clear, and we felt confident that we were in good hands. The final product exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend.

The remodeling of our ensuite was the first time that we had undertaken any renovation of our home. We relied on HomeStars positive reviews to help us choose Magnolia Construction for the job. Michel was the Project Manager, and he provided much needed advice and handholding as to how the whole process would work and which suppliers we might wish to consider. His experience was reassuring, and made moving through the few phases of selecting, ordering, delivery and installation glitch-free. The hands-on work was done by the team of Jean-FranÇois and Josée. They were thoroughly professional and most personable, offering suggestions and solutions when occasions arose. We greatly appreciated their expertise. We will be remodeling additional rooms, and will undoubtedly deal with Magnolia and its team again. Looking forward to it.

It's a great company to deal with. The owner Joey is a very nice person with a very warm heart. He is absolutely honest and spent lots of time with us explaining things. Even though we didn't sign a contract with him due to timeline reasons, he still shares his contractor discount with us for buying materials like tiles, floors, etc.

We are now working with another general contractor. Joey is still sharing his advice and helping us when we need his help and insights. If time could go back and we could choose again, we would go with him. I am sure he would take care good care of all his clients.

I just want to say we were very pleased with the way Magnolia handled our somewhat desperate request for assistance with providing a tile installer. They made time for us, and Mijo did a superb installation, plus he was timely and professional. We are do-it-yourselfers most of the time, and he also offered numerous great tips and tricks. An overall very positive experience! Thank you Magnolia Construction, the outstanding service is greatly appreciated.

We hired Magnolia for a repair to a leak in our ceiling on the third floor. I was favourably impressed with the work done - it's seamless, even though there was a popcorn ceiling to work with - and the price was very reasonable.

Based on my experience, I asked Joey to look at the bricks on the south wall of our house, some of which were deteriorating from water damaged caused by the freeze/thaw of snow melt from the south facing section of roof. His mason explained what needed to be done and sourced bricks that matched to original ones in the wall. The work was carefully and skillfully completed, and I was thrilled.

We had to have an older addition (which housed our kitchen) demolished and rebuilt. This took some time but Magnolia made sure we had a functioning kitchen area for the whole time and the renovation is superb. It is like having a new home!

As we interviewed various companies to take on our kitchen, flooring, and basement bathroom renovation project, we were immediately drawn to Magnolia construction. From the very first meeting with Joey and his team, we felt at ease and knew that we would be in very good hands. Joey is extremely responsive and highly accountable which is an incredibly important feature during a renovation. Whenever there was anything that came up, or had to be changed or altered, Joey and his team came in quickly and provided a high quality product! They made this renovation fun and we have truly enjoyed our experience with Magnolia! The team, from Michel, to Mio to Ronnie, were all incredibly respectful, clean and friendly and excellent at the job they do! We are so fortunate to have had a fairly extensive project done on time and on budget by a highly accountable and courteous team! We would highly recommend, thank you Joey and team!

Joey and the Magnolia team have been fantastic to deal with during our basement reno. They are able to give options at various price points to fit your budget, whether you are going high end or trying to squeeze your project into a fixed budget.

Fantastic service. Crew was friendly and professional. The final results are amazing! We're quite please with our new space!

We hired Magnolia to fix a crumbling foundation and to rebuild a sinking back addition on our historic home in Ottawa. Joey and the workers he hired (especially Chris and team) did an excellent job, and we are very pleased with the final results! The job wasn't without a few hiccups - this was tough structural work and happened during a pandemic - but workers always showed up, Joey always responded to concerns (even by texts well outside of work hours) and he was ultimately completely true to his word on everything, including the cost of the project. Joey seems to be a rare honest contractor who sticks to his word and makes himself available to clients... we certainly recommend Magnolia.
