Polaron

I signed up with Polaron in August of 2022 with the promise of installation by end of April/beginning of March 2023. Once i had paid them for the engineering etc. (~$4K upfront) they stopped communicating. I had to contact them to find out when my units would be installed and was met with either silence or the run around. Finally they arrived in late May unannounced. took 2 days to install everything. I never recieved any notification or communication from Polaron for the remainder of the project until my invoice for $5000 (government grant) showed up. The entire company is based in China and the Canadian branches appear to be run by foreign nationals. The app will not remain connected to the DTU (sending unit) and I have to reset it 2 - 3 times a day. It has been over 2 months, and I've notified them about the issue about 5 times (email, phone, complaint via their customer protal) and have not received a singal response. Expect them to take your money quickly and then never respond to warranty issues.

When we wanted to get solar panels, we decided to get Polaron to handle it.
They knew the ins and outs and prepared us for any hoops we'd need to jump through.
Any time we had a question or concern, we usually had a response within 24 hours.

Today I deposted a cheque for $560 for my solar credit from Nova Scotia Power. Am I happy? Yes. We have 27 panels for a max of 12 kwh. We saved $120 for the year after the monthly payments for the solar system, and once the system is paid back it will be about $2,000 year.

Polaron was very good at providing me with the process and installation instructions and information. Also have great customer support. I have had my panel for over a year and working great. 5 stars all the way and would recommend to anyone interested in solar

Service was great, they answered all my questions and were quick to install back in 2020. . No issues with the panels in the 3 years we have had them and are generating more than enough to cover our electricity costs for the year.
